Hello lovely community, it has been a little while since I have paused to properly say hello ✨ I am Alischa, founder and creative director of Bespoke Letterpress. What began as a quiet dream to learn to print on an 1893 foot treadled printing press, has grown into something far beyond what I could have imagined. From those early inky days to now seeing our pieces in homes across Australia and around the world, the journey has been both humbling and extraordinary. This past festive season marked a significant chapter for us. Alongside our beautiful core stores in Bowral, @strandarcade , @canberracentre and @emporiummelbourne , we expanded into three additional pop up locations, bringing us to seven retail spaces in total. I still remember packing orders on our office desks. To now walk into multiple stores filled with collections we have lovingly created feels deeply surreal. In partnership with @starlightau our teams wrapped an extraordinary number of gifts across the season (over 6,000 of them!). It was a true labour of love in every store. Knowing that those wrapped parcels helped bring joy to children facing serious illness gave our work even greater meaning. Today, we find ourselves continually outgrowing the spaces we move into. What began in a small office corner has required move after move into larger and larger warehouses to support the growth of the brand and the increasing demand for our collections. Each time we think we have found enough room, the shelves fill again. Every collection begins as an idea at my desk, then grows into pallets, boxes and carefully packed orders that leave our warehouse and make their way into your homes. It is a constant reminder that this growth is not abstract. It is real, tangible and made possible by you. Our Instagram community has grown to more than 113,000 of you. What began as a small space to share new designs and behind the scenes moments has become a genuine community built on connection, creativity and shared appreciation for beautiful things. Mother’s Day always gives me a moment to slow down and reflect on just how much family means to me. Being a mother to Albert, Elsie, Rupert and Louis is the greatest joy of my life, and a constant reminder that family is built in so many small, meaningful moments – in the everyday routines, the traditions we create, and the people who show up beside us through every season of life. I feel endlessly grateful for the love and support that surrounds our family, and for this wonderful community that continues to support Bespoke Letterpress so wholeheartedly. Today is a celebration of all mothers and maternal figures, from grandmothers and carers to aunties and friends, who give so much of themselves every single day. I also know today can hold different emotions for many people. For those missing someone they love, navigating loss, or longing for motherhood, I’m thinking of you and sending my love.
