2024 | Slim Table Special Edition
To celebrate Arco’s 120th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the Slim Table, @arco_furniture and I created a special edition of this iconic piece.
We worked with colour wax and furniture linoleum, both made from linseed oil, to develop three unique colour combinations. The result is three original and surprising colour combinations that give the otherwise minimalist Slim Table a distinctive and striking new look.

Hustle for #maharamstudio extends the humble yarn-twisting method of the upholsteries to a handwoven duotone wool rug. #hustle employs vivid, high-contrast color combinations to emphasize textural variation and to provide a fresh counterpoint to the rug’s elemental structure and references.

Rumor | 2024
Rumor is a new knitted upholstery textile for Kvadrat Febrik. It is the first to be made from more than 70% post-consumer recycled polyester, which creates its’ distinctive volume. The textile comes in nine color ways. From a distance they appear more muted and uniform in color. But it’s all about perspective.
If you zoom into Rumor, you will see stitches in four different colors from across the spectrum. To create these stitches, I used a digital tool to convert an image into a set of randomly arranged pixels in irregular quantities across the textile’s surface. Then, through hands-on experimentation with colors and pattern scaling I translated this design into a knitted textile. By placing these contrasting colors close together, the final color is much deeper and vivid than the single color could be by itself.

Shake | 2022
Fabric for @maharamstudio . Drawing upon utilitarian design principles including the Shaker traditions of material simplicity and pattern derived from structure, woven upholsteries Shake enlists custom tricolor yarns whose twisting technique both strengthens the textile and forms a moiré that vibrates with visual energy. We're looking forward to this fabric being applied.
