1) universal or noname guns are way cheaper then the 3M stuff. 2) just received new mixing tips and love how small they are - way less glue wasted compared to the (biggest) original ones. Tips are just the cheapest Bezos I found. Can‘t remember were I bought the gun but can recommend Aliexpress for the not 3M branded grey guns. #glue #3M #scotchweld #adhesive #shoptip

New worklights in the lathe. Angling the small front light made the highlight/reflections way bigger and nicer to look at. Less bright in the brightest spot / less contrast = easier on the eyes. Glad I played with the position a bit before I permanently mounted it.

Speaking of additional hands… very simple mod to a #kanttwistclamp: off the shelf M4 round nut had 8mm OD. Clamp is threaded, to prevent the attachment point from twisting. Probably not necessary but cant hurt.

3rd and 4th hand. 99% of the time @omnifixo is sufficient. Sometimes a collet block & vice adds the needed gravity to finish up a connector. #electronics #wiring #troubleshooting #arduino #make #soldering #tip #hack

Had some leftover HDPE sheets… made some #multifix drawer inserts… only one drawer deep enough to store them vertically. Lets see how I like it. #shopimprovements #lathe #instamachinist

Mut kann man nicht kaufen. (English: You can’t buy courage) but Reca sells some good taps 👍 M3. Alu. This is not a howto. But I have to say I can not recall when was the last time that I broke a tap. At least not with the tapping arm 💪

Was just talking to @vice_chief about welding tables. Well I sometimes use mine for welding too, but 90% of the time its use is to orient all sorts of things in space temporarily and precisely. Racoon stuff with @alexandrafruhstorfer for instance 😆 Thanks @clemenswolf for the “laser” 😘

Barrel nuts + 123 blocks. Made some custom ones (the black bits) to attach some not so precise stuff (3d printed fixture thingie) to some precise stuff (123 block) so I can clamp it in a vice and index it (relative) precisely. Why do these small „half hour jobs“ always take almost half a day? (Making these 4 sticks with a few holes) #prototyping #fixturing #3dprinting #machining #instamachinist #borrowingatollerance

compound angle fixturing for some trophies a friend is making -> @madaguitars Dimensions were not super critical, just surface finish (scotchbrite pad did the rest)
