Ellie played by @itssaraamini was one of my favourite characters to dress on The Copenhagen Test. Our smart and efficient Analyst always seemed to have scene stealing presence. She was trusted, observant, had savvy instincts and always strode with confidence no matter how high the heels.
We went with a mid century palette and jewel tones to compliment our retro futuristic aesthetic. Tailored skirt suits, silk blouses, flowy skirts and stylish dresses gave Ellie a polished and charismatic look.

Parker, played by @sinclair_dani is a brilliant observer and rising star in her field. As a Predictive Analyst, she has to track the potential mole, Alexander Hale, and orchestrate his every move.
With her unique vintage edge, Parker fits in beautifully with the retro futuristic aesthetic of The Orphanage’s Intelligence Agency. I can’t help but think that this theatre nerd may be a wolf in sheep’s clothing 👀

Michelle played by @melissabarreram is a highly skilled Field Operative that can morph into any character. When she is tasked with playing “The Girlfriend,” we went with effortlessly chic and feminine looks. Flowy skirts, silk shirts, and an earthy palette that exuded a girl next door quality. The idea was for her to look friendly, charming and approachable. The opposite of her true mission. When she is in “Operative” mode, the look was utilitarian. A neutral, dark palette so as not to distract. Clothes that were easy to move and fight in whilst still looking sleek.

The Copenhagen Test stars @simuliu as Intelligence Analyst, Alexander Hale. We went with contemporary corporate suits for the “downstairs” world. Monochromatic and cold. No one stands out on purpose here. When Alexander receives a coveted promotion, he moves “upstairs”. An aspirational world where the mid century modern aesthetic is king. After finding out his brain has been hacked, Alexander understands that he moves in a fabricated reality. He dresses the part. We leaned into timeless pieces that had an understated yet luxurious aesthetic. Designer shoes, sleek wool suits, cashmere sweaters and tailored coats. 50 costume changes in total!

Throughout Season 3, our talented Artists have pushed the boundaries of our beloved sci-fi genre with their unique visual language.
They elevate our costumes by infusing patina, texture, depth, custom beadwork, embroidery, dying, screen printing, painting and distressing to make costumes look authentic and to help audience suspend disbelief in alien environments.
