An educational trip to Waitangi with Sophs aunt and cousin being the perfect tour guides.
A couple more hikes and one final jigsaw puzzle before we took mum to the airport.
An exhausting and enjoyable 5 weeks.
Next up…a hike up Rangitoto (volcanic island) with @andybrownisanartist .
A mini uni reunion with Brown and @uhuruoflondon - mum tried her first and last ever oyster.
Xmas day at the Stones - lots of puzzles, cracking food, and one stand out gift - mum made a gluggle jug for Soph.
Finally a trip to Tāwharanui Regional Park and it’s stunning beach with a little stop at the Puhoi pub - a prize for anyone who sends me a photo of themselves next to the bank note mum signed and pinned on the wall.
Next up…trip to Hamilton to catch up with @andybrownisanartist while he painted scenes of Eng Vs NZ - mum enjoyed reading her Kindle at the game.
Hamilton Gardens are very underrated, unlike Hells Gate volcanic activity which was a bit lame - tried out the rejuvenating mud baths (still waiting on the results)
Blue learnt that mum also gives treats when he behaves.
