You may now enter The House of RuPaul. 🪞 I interviewed @RuPaulOfficial for my first cover story on @OutMagazine . This was an absolute honor and a big professional milestone, but I’m honestly just happy that our conversation is out there for people to read. I remember thinking that nothing could’ve prepared me to spend an hour speaking one-on-one with RuPaul. It reminded me of his podcast — which I was obsessed with — except I was the one with the questions. So imagine my surprise when, a few minutes in, I realized that this superstar, mogul, and Emmy Award record holder spoke a similar language as I did. That he was lovely, witty, curious, hilarious, emotional, and wonderful. That he read right through me, almost immediately, and his response was to open up even more about his life, perspectives, and interests. My goal was to ask interesting questions and dig a little deeper, but the result — this fabulous cover story — truly surpassed my wildest expectations. The biggest thank you to Daniel Reynolds (@dnlreynolds ) for all the guidance, patience, and trust. Thank you to my entire equalpride family for all the support behind the scenes. And thank you to my friends, peers, and relatives for all the love. 💛

I'm very excited to share that I've written one of the cover stories for the July/August print issue of Out Magazine. This cover features the out LGBTQ+ stars of the "Barbie" movie directed by Greta Gerwig. I interviewed Scott Evans (@scottevansgram ), who was so kind and funny and open about his experiences getting cast in the film and starring in it. I deeply related to how much work he's been putting in over the years, to how surreal this project feels like, and how much love he has for his family, friends, and partner. Our delightful conversation made my job easy as a writer. This cover story also features interviews with Hari Nef (@harinef ) and Alexandra Shipp (@alexandrashipppp ) talking about their own journeys in the "Barbie" movie. @barbiethemovie opens in theaters July 21. Eight years ago, I interviewed Anitta, J Balvin, and Jeon about collaborating on "Machika" and performing it at Premio Lo Nuestro. That was Anitta's *first-ever* televised performance outside of Brazil. 🏆 This weekend, @anitta will debut as musical guest of a Saturday Night Live (@nbcsnl ) episode hosted by Colman Domingo (@kingofbingo ). 🥹💛 I'm not really into throwbacks, but this one felt correct. I am sooooo proud of our Girl From Rio. 🇧🇷 Thanks @portalpopline @premiolonuestro @jbalvin @jeon_arvani for the interview. All love! 🙏

Serving wilderness realness — with a purpose. 🌲✨ Pattie Gonia covers Out Traveler inside Out’s March/April print issue, bringing drag to the trail and raising over $1 million to make the outdoors more inclusive for all. What started as a 100-mile hike in full drag became something much bigger: a call for collective action, accessibility, and showing up for communities that have long been left out of these spaces. Explore more from our Spring issue, on newsstands now. 📸: @evanbenallyatwood ; cover design by @w_mariusz__ 🖊️: @bernardosim

Angeria Paris VanMicheals isn’t just a 'Drag Race All Stars' queen — she’s now an Oscar-shortlisted executive producer, alongside Matt Bomer. 🎬 'Cashing Out', the documentary produced by The New Yorker, unpacks a little-known and uncomfortable chapter of the AIDS crisis, when investors bought the life insurance policies of sick queer people who sold them in exchange for cash they could use during their illness. “I had heard plenty of stories… but this specific story is what made my ears kind of perk up,” Angie told Out. “You hear a lot of stories from the epidemic, but I don’t think this is one you hear often.” Learn more about the film and read our full interview with @angeriavm at the link in bio. 📸: Deonté Lee/BFA.com; The New Yorker/Nine Patch Pictures 🖊️: @bernardosim

Jesse Kortuem — a real-life hockey player who walked away from the sport out of fear he couldn’t reconcile his sexuality and his athletic identity — has come out as gay and credited 'Heated Rivalry' with giving him the courage to share his truth. 🏒 “I loved the game, but I lived with a persistent fear… I didn’t think those two worlds could occupy the same person.” Read his powerful coming-out statement at the link in bio. ✨ 📸: Courtesy of Jesse Kortuem (@pelotonjesse ) 🖊️: @bernardosim #comingout #hockey #heatedrivalry

Between winning Mister Trans Brasil and placing in the top 10 at Mister Brasil CNB — becoming the first trans man in history to step on that stage — Bernardo Rabello is determined to keep conquering new spaces for trans male representation. 🏳️‍⚧️✨ “There are people like me who are fighting for us to conquer our place and be visible,” Rabello tells Out’s @bernardosim in Portuguese. “Every place that we conquer, it’s not just for one of us individually — it’s for all of us. It’s for everyone.” Read the full interview at the link in bio. 📸: Courtesy of Bernardo Rabello (@lifebernardorabello ) #mistertransbrasil #misterbrasil #transvisibility #brasil
