Bernalillo Public School District would like to sincerely apologize for posting the incorrect picture of Bella Perez in the May Newsletter. The photo was mistakenly sent to us, and we deeply regret the error and any confusion it may have caused. We want to properly recognize and congratulate Bella Perez for her outstanding achievement as the Powerlifting State Champion, earning 1st Place in the 114 lb weight class and setting TWO state records — a 285 lb deadlift and an overall total of 565 lbs. Absolutely unstoppable! We appreciate everyone’s understanding and thank you for your continued support of our students and athletic programs. All Bernalillo Public Schools are canceled today, Tuesday, April 14, 2026. There is police activity near Bernalillo High School. BPS Transportation and buses are currently unable to leave the lot, and access to the BHS campus is restricted for all students at this time. School will resume on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. We will continue to update families as details become available. Thank you for your understanding.

All Bernalillo Public Schools will be on a two-hour delay today, Tuesday, April 14, 2026, due to police activity in the area of Bernalillo High School and BPS Transportation. Buses are unable to leave the transportation lot at this time. No staff or students should be on the BHS campus until notified. We will continue to update families as details become available.
