Snapshots from this past months’ work on my artist book ‘Over & Over’. My studio collage table is currently a book assembly line and moving forge for the dozens of parts that need to be glued within each book, and I’ve been taking up way too much space on the cast iron guillotine paper cutter at @kcaiprintmaking these days. (@lukebawl has gently suggested more than once we may need a sharpened blade for all the cutting I’ve been doing at the studio 😂) I’m honored that so many have already collected this artist book. About half the edition is still available for purchase. My collaborator, the writer of the book’s poetry, @owenbarrts18.1 will have some copies to share in Canberra, Australia soon, too. I am honored to be among 62 international artists nominated within this 20th year of the Women to Watch exhibition series. My KC colleagues in this endeavor include the amazing artists @yoonmi_nam and @laura_nugent_ . “Women to Watch 2027: A Book Arts Revolution!” is a dynamic exploration of contemporary artists’ books: works of art in book form. This project encourages audiences to rethink the nature of book arts by challenging assumptions about the medium and featuring works that combine approaches and techniques.
