Penny Arcadia out of Stockholm Sweden, are combining the plastic urgency of deep fried rock’n’roll with the bronze forge heartbeat of the ancients. The rhythm of greasy pennies rattling inside the pinball machine of creation. The eternal jukebox blasting the deathless rock’n’roll anthems of lost civilizations.
Penny Arcadia are now releasing the arcane fruit of their covert operations – Mutants Arise! – a multifaceted journey into the machinations of marginalization, fear, frenzy, sectarianism, murder and rapture. Every number on this album is a cruel mirror image of the ancient desperation lurking under the surface of a dying civilization.

Luke Pelletier & his blind dog Rooster at the best Honky Tonk in the world, The White Horse in Austin, Texas. He and his label Soggy Anvil Records threw the best night/day venue at the SXSW-week. It was a family friendly event with drugs, alcohol, free tattoos, some nudity, great live music and two step dancing. I hope this event is back 2027.
