We received some anonymous love letters from our audience members last night. Less than 10 spots are available for the Saturday evening show, and only 15 seats are available for our closing on Sunday matinee. If you want to see the show, this is your chance. 📸 @gniyayeshg @lesyeuxdeniyayesh

For some, every ordinary day is a fight for survival, justice, and belonging. In The Cost of Living, The Jess-ter draws you in as performers bring to life a trial about land, power, and ethics. As the scales of justice—both literal and metaphorical—tip and turn, the story expands to confront urgent questions about indigeneity, immigration, and the cost of existence in a colonial world. Funded by SSHRC-CRSH, this show is a bold collective creation. Director and Stage Manager: Maddison Litvinenko-Schmitt @mdpov Performers: Jess Beauvais @bepsi.zero , Banafsheh Hassani @bnshhsn , Maddison Litvinenko-Schmitt Production Manager: Banafsheh Hassani Production Design Team: Armando Cuspinera @armando.cuspinera , Catherine Good @catherine_thegood Artistic Collaborators: Sarah Larmony @surerlurmaner , Marius Zamfir @marius_demitrius 📸 Nastaran Pourtaherian @nastaran_prtn 🖼 Hwaan Han @hwaanhan The show is performed in English with some moments in Arabic, Farsi, Southern Michif, Kanien'kéha, and French, sparcely translated. Objectively I’ve had the best year ever. I created and explored. I met so many new beautiful people, I had the ability to work with so many gifted and talented minds. I had the opportunity to write, to direct, to perform. Im basically finished my program. Endless meetings, endless planning, endless late nights of research and endless afternoons in the studio. And I had a lot of fun doing it. Even within loss, I found so much love. This was the year that has made my résumé burst at the seams, all the work that would be solidifying my place among the adults and artists in the ~real world~. I am so grateful for all the opportunities The truth of it? I’ve never been more depressed. Weeks have felt like years but months slip from my grasp. My bed sheets that I changed weekly have not been changed in months, the calendar on the wall is stuck in July 2024, I didn’t buy Xmas gifts until 2 days before Xmas this year. I’ve never felt more like a failure while having people congratulating me. The point of this post? Idk, I’m not looking for sympathy or empathy, I wanted to share but most of all I needed to share

. Thank you to all who came to dance and drink and listen with us at 100% HUMAN ERROR this past week. We couldn't have done it without you all. A special thank you to Luis Carlos Sotelo, Sofìa Lòpez-Asselin and Mélissa-Anne Ménard, the faculty and staff of Concordia's Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling, and the Acts of Listening Lab. To Catherine Good, our dear friend and FOH. And to our own Jess Beauvais for creating such a badass program (swipe to see 👀). Follow The Sky is the Limit Theatre in our future endeavors as we reach higher and higher into all ceilings and skies above. Photo by @bepsi.zero

If life is a secret science experiment, then what accounts for all of this fuckery? (hint: 100% human error) With two weeks and a dream, the first edition of À CONFIRMER / T.B.C. went on stage in search of truth at the Montreal fringe festival 2023. A new edition, 100% HUMAN ERROR, is now here, exposing the hypocrisies of the universe. Join us again for an evening of experiments, lies, truths, and all the other things right below the surface. ✨️LINK TO TICKETS IN BIO✨️ February 29th & March 1st at The Acts of Listening Lab at Concordia University's Centre for Oral History and Digital Storytelling. J. W. McConnel (LB) building, 1400 De Maisonneuve Blvd. W., LB -1042-03 (10th floor, room #1042), Montreal, QC, H3G IM8 Poster design by palak kapoor

Spent a couple days last week working with this piece again by Hannah Claus I can’t tell you the amount of hours I’ve spent with this installation, it’s taught me much patience. This piece is delicate yet sturdy, a lot to be said in just that
