We are super grateful for everyone who came out to dance through the night with us. Here are the set times for @ladyduffslounge (chill vibes) and @themarigoldroomsf (big sounds) on Saturday at the newly revamped @hotelglorietasantafe ! We are so excited to break in both rooms! As you may have guessed we are bringing the big KV2 sound system to shake the walls. Visual stylings by @sofarilla and @jesswebbart . Artful lighting in the Marigold Room by the ever tasteful @jakesnider . There will be a small food menu and the music will start pretty chill in Lady Duffâs Lounge so bring the kids after their fall carnivals! Costumes optional. What really makes it work is the sound. Across the exhibit, the team leans into musicality and subtlety, prioritizing comfort over intensity.
That kind of design keeps people engaged. When the sound is satisfying and not overwhelming, guests tend to stay longer, explore more, and connect with the experience in a deeper way.
One of the most memorable moments at @meowwolfhouston was in the Glowquarium Trench.
Local composer Ruairi OâBrien @odaemusic created an eerie, underwater soundscape that felt subtle and alive. It wasnât just ambient. It was interactive, layered, and intentionally spacious.
That kind of balance between immersive scale and quiet interactivity is rare, but this one does it beautifully.
Thereâs a moment at @meowwolfhouston where the sound and light move together so seamlessly, you forget youâre inside.
Youâre surrounded by high-frequency details and your ears start telling your brain that the room is bigger than it is.
Itâs spatial sound design at its best: reactive, environmental, and emotionally resonant.
The system was created by @les_stuck , who uses frequency and space with such precision that it feels effortless. But as someone who works in sound, I know how much intention is behind that illusion.
