My talk at @a_mazefest went well! Now the world knows how video games and puppet shows are the same thing. Photos by @cassandra_prophet and official video of the talk will emerge in the coming days.
I went to a fashion show today! At Refashion Sheffield, participants were given three bits of fabric and three months, and tasked with sewing something interesting.
Anyone was able to sign up, regardless of skill, experience or what-have-you. I had hoped to sew something but my weeks went in different directions to that. Still, it was great to attend and snap some photos.
The next exciting contest on the horizon is Morlvision, of course, a song contest I will definitely be entering, as I did before.
I certainly hope there'll be another Refashion soon, as seeing the designs, the models and the overall creativity it made me want to sew again.
This week I've been making an art book for Trans Theft Horso. I have 48 good pages so far, and I'm at least half done.
There really are a lot of pictures in this gambe!
I'll release a PDF of it in a few weeks, but I'm mainly making it so I can take its one physical copy to @a_mazefest in Berlin this May. It's fun to have pictures to look at.
To celebrate the rediscovery of two missing episodes of my favourite Doctor Who story, please enjoy The Ballad of Mavic Chen from my 2004 concept album of The Daleks' Master Plan
I've been in a production of Monstrous Regiment by #terrypratchett - first two pics by Ben Sanderson, the rest are backstage selfies by me.
(I was, by turns, an inkeeper who serves poor beer, a wounded soldier, a horrible soldier, a clacks operator and General Kzupi at the tribunal).
My first time in a stage-play in a decade.
ACT ANNOUNCEMENT - Ben Swithen (they/them)
Ben is a person and sometimes a storyteller. Recently that involves being an indie game dev, but they are also (de temps en temps) a writer, puppeteer, director of short films, a seamstress and almost every other form of art except knitting and baking, which require one to follow rules carefully. They recently released a game called 'Trans Theft Horso' and an EP of songs about gender-affirming surgery entitled 'Happy New Loin!'

@soundpaintmusic had a competition to make music using the sample of a coffee pot. I don't enjoy coffee because it's horrible and bitter, but I like sounds, and (despite all evidence) music, which I make often and sometimes loudly.
