“Beacon of hope for a city shrouded in darkness” Thrilled to see one of my photos grace the pages of this book which discusses deeply important and very relative topics. Thank you Professor David Androff for asking to use the image for your book cover. I’m honored. Thank you Oxford University Press for getting me some copies. @oxunipress It was incredibly cinematic looking with the amazing, gloomy storm clouds covering the city that day. I photographed this on June 5th 2020. On that day anti-police brutality protesters gathered in New York City to pay their respects to Breonna Taylor. It would have been her 27th birthday.

#1 of 8 beautifully crushed cans I found in the gravel parking lot of a ferry port in Turks & Caicos last year. I brought them back with the intention of photographing them. I got out my studio lights for the first time in years last night, and finally did just that. Now to see how they look printed large. More to come.

Carousel by air. Doors open. Great view of the animals. Yesterday’s cloud cover made for some nice even light.

Port of Los Angeles. Busiest port in North America. This massive port covers 7,500 acres (4,300 land and 3,200 water). It also sits right next to the Port of Long Beach which is nearly the same size.
