Pizza Nights. Every Wednesday. Starting tomorrow. Let’s go. You may recall last year’s pizza night collaboration series with some of our best Pizza Friends. You may also recall Ben’s heartfelt tribute to Pizza, “Pizza Friends,” published in @tenderheartsupperclub You may even remember promises of regular pizza nights during our Kickstarter campaign…We’re here to fulfill our oath (last slide iykyk). The goal is pizza nights every Wednesday, 5:30-7:30! Ben and Kevin on oven. Reed and Liv at the front. Walk-ins only. To-go only. Whole pies (sourdough crust), a few different topping options which will rotate each week, a few sides, a few desserts… We’ll be keeping track of & updating wait times and will post them in a very visible area. We’ll keep these up as long as you show up and as long as they keep being fun 😂

Weekend Update: It’s gonna be a tasty one! Our pastry crew has some fantastic specials planned all weekend long — like these savory ramp tarts, blueberry muffins, and bomboloni! It’s also the LAST weekend for carrot cake! Our bread team is working hard to bring extra loaves and English muffins to our shelves for whatever celebrations you may have in store (wink wink, nudge nudge, Mother’s Day) and we’re prepped and ready for Sunday’s COMMUNITY MAKERS MARKET in our courtyard from 10 AM to 2 PM! Sun it out ☀️, bakes are looking great, vibes are stellar — come say hi!

New Loaf on the block - WHOLE GRAIN RYE! We’re soft launching this beautiful new loaf. 100% sourdough loaf with @chimacumgrain rye flour and cracked rye. Very flavorful, custardy and soft interior. Incredibly nutrition-dense and great for snacking with butter and cheese. Available today, Tuesday, and as our bakers have availability to tinker throughout the next few months! Shout out to Christine, Kevin, Stephen, Angela, and Emma for bringing this rye to fruition 💛💪

We’d like to take a moment to shine a light on our baguettes! 🥖 You might notice that they’re a little darker than you might find at other bakeries, both in terms of their bake (bien cuit!) and the bread itself. This is because they’re made with a high percentage of whole grain flours including @cairnspringmills Glacier Peak T70 flour, as well as @chimacumgrain wholegrain spelt and wholegrain buckwheat. We work closely with our millers and farmers to learn more about the grains that they’re growing here in Washington state, and the buckwheat we’re using right now is no exception. It’s from a trial plot grown by Chimacum Valley Grainery that has a bold flavor and a deep blue/black color. We love incorporating more whole grains into our breads both for the depth of flavors and as a great way to support our local food systems and growers. Keep an eye out for our whole grain spelt loaf on Mondays, whole grain table bread on Fridays, and whole grain Salish blue seeded loaf on Saturdays. 🌾 - @burkee

We love Earth every day! 🌎🌱 But this upcoming Wednesday- Friday, April 22-24, we are celebrating Earth Day by selling a delicious garden-themed donut to raise funds for an awesome local grassroots climate justice organization 🙌 MOTHER EARTH WHOLE DONUT The special donut is delightfully fruity and earthy with a matcha glaze, nettle cake, raspberry gummies, blackberries, and lilac blossoms, AND white chocolate and lemon cream in the donut hole. PLUS, we’re donating 100% of this donut’s sales to 350 Seattle! 350 Seattle is a local grassroots climate justice non-profit working to resist fossil fuels and build just and resilient communities. [huge props to Linnea Scott for her tireless work fighting climate justice, dreaming up this fundraiser, AND creating this gorgeous treat 🌱]
