If you told me a few months ago that I would get to direct two TV ads that would be seen by millions of people, I wouldn’t have believed it. And to have those ads be for a cause, a party, and a leader that I believe in with all my heart? It’s a dream come true.
Today’s the day to vote. I encourage you to vote for this phenomenal candidate for Premier. Having worked closely with her for a while, I can tell you that Marit Stiles is 100% the real deal. A brilliant leader, talented communicator, great policy mind, and relentless fighter.
I was so lucky to get to make these, and radio ads, and a bunch more online videos, in this whirlwind month.

We got away to somewhere warm for a couple of weeks at the beginning of the year and got a lot of creative work done, including this one-off snippet. My partner said it reminded her of mushrooms growing in fast forward, so mushrooms it is.

I like to plunk out a bit of improvised music with no particular goal in mind, then go back and augment whatever came out on the first take.

This one is from about a year ago. The sound is rough, unmixed, but will be better in 🎧.

I think I read an interview where Jack Antonoff was joking about how the most obvious, unoriginal thing you could do to get a pretty sound was put a felted piano over a Juno 6… so this is that.
