Studio H.A is leading the construction of the Coronation Theater, in collaboration with Ben Rosenblum Studio. The project is an Improv theater with a full bar located at 3100 Canal Street in Houston’s East End.
This project spans a little over 3,000 sq ft and is designed to deliver an intimate yet vibrant entertainment experience. The space is coming together beautifully, and we’re excited to see the progress as each phase moves forward. We look forward to bringing this project to completion and seeing the final result come to life.

Our client envisioned more than just a store—they wanted an immersive experience. In response, our design takes visitors on a journey through the space, blending fluid forms and natural elements.

Ben Rosenblum Studio, and Rice University worked with landscape architecture firm Dept. on the redesign of the plantings surrounding the Brochstein Pavilion. The design approach of Dept. brings a mix of seasonal and native plants to existing plant beds all four sides of the exterior of the Brochstein Pavilion, providing consistent plant coverage throughout the year.
As the architect for the Brochstein Pavilion remodel completed this past fall, we’re excited to see students, faculty, and visitors enjoying the space.
Working with Rice and Local Foods, we redesigned the kitchen island with a modern, inviting presence, including new warm lighting, and refreshed the entire pavilion with new warm ceiling lighting. Garnish Design took the lead on furniture selections, and Pruitt Structures helped bring the design to life as the contractor.

Ben Rosenblum Studio has been working with the Axelrad team on exterior improvements at Axelrad the past five years, including an expanded second floor balcony attached to the existing masonry building, a new outdoor bar, and additional shade structures.
The latest design project includes an expansion into the adjacent property, adding two new structures, one that will house another outdoor bar, and additional restrooms, and a second large event shade structure and outdoor stage. The new structures continue the same aesthetic as some of Axelrad’s existing structures that Ben Rosenblum Studio has worked on, including the iconic raw steel framework design. A water feature collects rain water from the standing seam metal roof of the new outdoor bar structure. Upward-folding glazed steel windows, and a plaster form of the outdoor bar, blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor space, and allow for further access to drinks for Axelrad’s main space and the new shaded event space.

Ariyan obtained his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston.

It was a pleasure working on Las Perras Café and Flor y Miel. The project included designing a new bar counter area, appliance layout for the cafe bar and prep kitchen. It features a counter area with the espresso machine and bar seating. We removed several panels and rearranged multiple fritted glass partition panels to link the two spaces. Additionally, we designed a swinging panel within the bar, allowing it to be opened during cafe hours and closed when the cafe shuts for the day.

EARTH TO MARS is a café located in Houston’s East End at Headquarters, 3302 Canal St, TX 77003. We designed the space with a budget-conscious approach. We reused counters from other former retail spaces, arranging them within the cafe, and added a new unique, multifunctional bar seating area that seamlessly connects to the coworking space (Headquarters). We removed and rearranged several fritted glass partition panels in order to connect the two spaces, and we designed a swinging panel within the bar, so that it can be opened, mostly when the cafe is open, and closed when the cafe closes for the day.
