That's exactly what this feels like... next month I'm going back into the studio to record a full band record called 'Influences I' designed as the first in a series where I explore my artistic influences and jump into the world of my musical heroes.

Happy 100th birthday to the legendary Sir David Attenborough, who is not only a local Leicester lad, but has been a mainstay of my entire life.
Growing up I fell in love with The Blue Planet, and at one time contemplated a career in marine biology. Then, when Jaxon was born (and they share a birthday just four days apart), for years as a baby the only thing that would get him to sleep was endless episodes of Attenborough and that marvellous voice. We must have watched all the series several times over.
I can't think of any other living person who was still voicing and occasionally presenting on camera for TV documentaries at 99 years old. An amazing feat, his campaigning, advocacy and passion for the natural world equally put him up there alongside Darwin, Banks and Goodall as one our greatest ever naturalists.
Congratulations and happy birthday Sir David! Enjoy your birthday card from the King. I do wonder what he will write in yours! 👏🎈💯

Introducing Bailey and Betty, who just joined our family today 🐰🐇 Betty (white) is named for the Taylor Swift song of the same name from Folklore, and Bailey (black and white) for DeFord Bailey the first Black country star of the 1920s. They're both around 10 weeks and will be living in separate pens until we can get them to the vets for fixing. George Jones' 1999 come back record with Keith Stegall, properly Honky Tonkin' (and I don't own any possum on vinyl). And 20th anniversary re-release of Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris' All The Road Running, which is a divine album. Seeing Emmylou next month, so very excited about this!
