Beautiful walk/bike ride up on the Quantocks on the Drove Road with the fam. The long horn cattle are amazing. Great bike riding for kids too. Level enough with a few hills, roots and rocks to make it fun. I am 100% against kids riding without helmets too. This was just before she helmeted up. Always wear a helmet kids! And always ride a bike!

Grass snakes in the compost. I know not everyone’s idea of fun but I love having them in the garden. So interesting to go and look at. We had them in the compost last summer as babies and they’ve all gone and got so big!

Inquisitive deer. It came straight out of the wheat field and stared at us. I was expecting my dog to chase it but the deers bold strength of character made my dog run away instead! I expect if he’d been on the lead he would have acted all tough and aggressive but it just shows that a lot of that barky behaviour is fear based rather than aggression. So interesting observing and trying to understand animal behaviour. Still learning from one I’ve lived with for over 7 years.
