Happy to share my favorite piece from this year! Definitely my most detailed piece so far. I did this one all with Posca Paint Pens on a big piece of wood I found on the side of the road🌅 Creating this one was a big challenge, getting everything to blend nicely on the grainy wood, but it was also so much fun to work on over time. So stoked it came out the way I envisioned it and even more stoked that it found a good home! (Sold) It was a another great year for creating and I was happy to learn so much and push myself out of my comfort zone. I’m constantly grateful for everybody’s love and support towards my art. It started as a sketch I made during a layover leaving the Philippines, and I knew it had to become a full piece. Really stoked with how it came together. Hand painted these cork hats as prizes for the men’s finalists in the inaugural California Cove Classic, hosted by @venturasurfclub . Such a fun weekend full of great surfing, good people, and seeing all the different surf clubs come together to make it happen!

Been pretty quiet on here since heading out to Southeast Asia 6 months ago, but I wanted to share some sketches from that time. Most of these were just done wherever I happened to be—beaches, hostels, boats, long travel days. Nothing too planned, just drawing whatever felt right in the moment. The trip itself was beyond incredible. So much new perspective and inspiration, endless memories, and a lot of amazing friends made along the way. Definitely a lot I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life❤️ It’s been pretty weird coming back home to such a different environment, but I’m really happy to be back seeing family and friends again and getting into new projects with all my art materials here at home! Safe to say I’ll be back.

‘Tranquility’ made with Posca on a 9”x12” canvas. Just put the finishing touches on this one and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. This piece represents how it might feel to be in a calm and tranquil state of mind. One of those moments where everything just feels right. Finished this one up recently. This is the first Timelapse I’ve done with a painting from start to finish and it was pretty fun! I painted this landscape on a 24”x30” canvas with Posca pens but I used oil paint for the sky to get a clean gradient above the horizon, which was also a first. This landscape isn’t from anywhere particular other than my thoughts and sketches. One of my oil paintings from this semester. This class has been quite a humbling and fun learning experience. I still have plenty to learn about oils but I’m stoked to have gotten some of the basics down over time. I really enjoy how flush the blending process is along with the patience it takes for everything to dry.
