I am beyond proud to have been able to watch this process over the last few years, this man is obsessed with music and all of the art that surrounds it. Everything, every aspect, obsessed. They say you reap what you sew, and David you deserve this more than anyone I know because you have that rare combination of insane talent and insane work rate. Against all odds...this actually happened. Proud is an under statement. I’m proud of these two young kings, I’m extremely proud of the team, I’m proud of this whole scene and community. We’re in an era where the people tell us what they like. This isn’t driven by mainstream press or radio. This is driven by artists speaking directly to their fans. A lot of doors have been kicked down to get to this place - it’s taken years, and countless artists and people behind the scenes have played their part, we have to give thanks for that. Today - a hard, pure rap record, has hit the top of the charts without radio, without press, without TV and most importantly without any compromise musically...and I love that. I’m inspired by that. Dave made this beat about a year ago and had the vision for the record and the video all in his head - he’s a different, different guy. Last week we were just putting out a new track, no chart expectation, just belief in a fucking hard song that we wanted people to hear. Now it’s at #1. Thank you to every single person that has supported this record, it genuinely means the world.
