« Somehow, the French got this idea of the starving artist. Very romantic, except it’s not so romantic for the starving artist.» - David Lynch Lecoq Soirée 1: The langage du geste de Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me.

Quick story time if you have the time: Having Phillipe Gaulier, the father of Buffon, and internationally acclaimed theatre critic/teacher, going from telling me, “you’ll never be successful in this business” to “you move like you have no balls, I want to work with you,” to then doing a scene with a partner in Chinese, while also not knowing the changes that were added to said scene was not on my existential bingo card, however; the experience and growth and people I was privileged to meet have changed my life forever. Despite the brief amount of time it was. Thank you to all involved, I miss you and I’ll be thinking of you as I continue this journey. Cheers.

Highlights of this last year. Easy way is say much of it was spent with those I love. - Went into the woods for a friends retreat where the sky was so clear we saw the Milky Way while laying in the grass next to a duck house. - Did a show that re-ignited my love of clown and physical theatre and set me on my path to France (where I leave to in 3 months!) - Went to London with some amazing human being and even slipped of to Scotland with some fellow mad lad adventurers - Got quarantined with Covid and had to had the fact I was coughing up blood so my teacher and swore my roommate to secrecy so the others wouldn’t freak out (Sorry @beki.baker felt it’s been long enough of a secret😅) - Went to my first music festival and danced so hard I couldn’t walk after - Went to Nuevo Vallarta with family learned traditional recipes and a whole lot more Canadians than I would have thought (hey guys) - learned to pole dance, toured around the US telling scary stories, got into a French clown school, Climbed A LOT, Became the devil, graduated, started writing again, became conversational in French, and most importantly; I changed and grew. So despite all the hell 2022 has given I’m thankful for all of you who took part in the beautiful parts.
