Restoring a Bruce Rickard icon on the Northern Beaches comes with its secrets. The biggest challenge? Replicating the original bushhammered concrete finish from 50 years ago. The exact technique had been lost to time, but after plenty of trial and error, and a little bit of ingenuity, we’ve cracked the code. The results are coming out better than we ever expected. #newmark #BruceRickard #NorthernBeachesArchitecture #ConcreteCraft #HeritageRenovation Architect: @bennettmurada PM: @brooklane_

Project Complete | Albion Park – SDA Accommodation   The focus for this project was to deliver high-quality Specialist Disability Accommodation that can support participants with a range of physical and psychosocial disabilities, while creating an environment that feels unequivocally domestic rather than institutional. The development was designed to meet the stringent High Physical Support requirements of the NDIS SDA Design Standard, with a strong emphasis on dignity, independence and long-term adaptability. The design balances highly considered accessibility and support infrastructure with generous, light-filled living spaces that prioritise comfort and amenity. The building is organised as a single shared home comprising four self-contained living units, providing clear separation between private and shared spaces while supporting personal autonomy and care delivery. Layouts were carefully planned to ensure ease of movement, clear way finding and unobtrusive integration of assistive technologies. Material and spatial choices were guided by the desire to create calm, familiar interiors that support daily living and wellbeing. The project aims to provide homes that respond to complex functional requirements without compromising on warmth, quality or a sense of belonging, enabling participants to live rich and fulfilling lives within a supportive residential setting. Nestled in the dunes of Copacabana, this coastal retreat embraces the raw beauty of its surroundings with a palette of warm stone textures, and filtered sunset light. Every angle is designed to frame golden-hour views, creating a home that feels calm, grounded, and connected to place. Natural materials, low-water landscapes, and open-plan living define this residence — where the indoors seamlessly meet the out. The formwork is off! The outdoor learning space at a rural education campus is ready to be utilised by their teachers and students. The raked chevron pavilion forms a wedged shaped eave over the valley, hence the very fitting name, Wedgetail. A first look at our interior fit-out on Miller Street, North Sydney. The terraced hardwood entry scheme introduces a warm, tactile threshold, subtly mediating between the urban streetscape and the calm interior. The sleek, functional design creates a sheltered pause from the dynamic city context.
