WIP: Design exploration for Folk Rave.
Had fun generating ideas for the Folk Rave flyer. Follow-up post for the final design to come, but in the meantime, I wanted to give this alternative some appreciation!
An evening of music and drinks at @urbanroomfstone with a performance from @annabraithwaitemusic and a set by Alexander Hall.

Note: The design should read 'Urban Room', and the event will be from 18:30 to 22:00 - this was an initial test and amended for the final flyer!

Venice architecture biennale ‘Rurale’ salon process experiment.
Recently, I had the pleasure of working with @_cat_rossi and @charlesjholland on the identity for their Venice architecture biennale salon, ‘Rurale’.
I look forward to sharing the final identity once I’ve gotten the chance to put a full post together! However, in the meantime, I thought I’d share an experiment produced whilst exploring ideas for the type.

Unused cover design for a 2024 publication collecting undergraduate typography projects.
The graphic was produced by abstracting the word 'Learning', set going vertically up the page. I concerned myself less with maintaining legibility, but creating a balanced image with vigour. The design was completed in Adobe Illustrator.

'The Way the World Ends' uses variable type and bold colours to reinforce meaning by creating a juxtaposition between aesthetic and the stark context of the quotation.
The design will be printed onto existing glass surfaces; reducing material demands, printed using water-based inks, void of the toxic PVC used to produce a vast majority of acrylics.
