📣THE THIRD SOLITUDE 📣 📚 OUT MAY 13, 2025 📚 Didn’t know it at the time, but this book was born in 2018, when I first began reading through a packet of documents I’d received from an estranged relative in Vienna. It has grown into a meditation on history, a narrative journey to far-flung places, an interrogation of Zionism, and a portrait of the world that made me (and the people who have inhabited it). The Third Solitude was written in fits and starts in many places, including Palo Alto, Montreal, London, Kalahe, and my home in Paris. I’m grateful to those who hosted me and gave me the space to write. Many of you on here have contributed to this memoir in ways big and small, whether you know it or not; you will find your names in the acknowledgments. I owe a special thanks to @ae_akinwumi , who encouraged me to write the proposal when I was dragging my feet. And, of course, to the whole team at @dundurnpress for taking a chance on me. Keep your eye out for events in: - Montreal (May 15th) - Paris (June 2) - Berlin (end June) And elsewhere TBA. — You can pre-order now (see above), or else find the book at your local bookseller or online on May 13. Sharing this post would also go a long way for this little book. Reviewers can request copies directly from Dundurn. You can also DM me.
