This collaboration between the poetry of @elizabethwalton.au and the music of Richard Lawson has evolved over many years, developed with the skills of many creative people. What began as a shared vision evolved through countless conversations, revisions and an extensive feedback loop. The poetry responds to the music responds to the poetry. Here, we open into the story behind this project and how we built the music — together, working with Sam’s Caravan, and Ben Fowler, who we have worked with on festivals (and who made a guest appearance on the recording of Let Me Hear Your Song by our band Honey. @acaciaquartet travelled from across state to rehearse and record the scores at Four Winds, Bermagui in the Wind Song pavilion. 🎶 Featured track: ‘Naarm, Your Place of Last Resort’ — a special preview from the album. LAUNCH NIGHT 29th May 6.15pm BOOKI NOW!!! Limited seats. Link in bio. Don't miss @isabel.rumble live streaming at 5pm today! From Isabel: What began as a creative residency at the beautiful @fourwindsau space in Barragga Bay, NSW, has grown into something exciting and special—my second album. With support from @southeastarts NSW and a NSW Quick Response Grant, I teamed up with producer @heathcullen , bassist @robynmartinmusic , and engineer @benji_fowler to record for a week in 2024, making full use of Four Winds’ exquisite grand piano. Now, as we mix and master the final tracks, I’m seeking support to bring this project to life. This is a key moment to ensure the album gets the attention it deserves. Funding will support: Final mixing & mastering, promo content & media outreach, a strong publicity campaign. Livestream today! 5pm AEST 🌞 @isabel.rumble // Come along for some chats and songs, it’s FREE to join of course! There will be a link to donate if you wish (or visit isabelrumble.com). I’d love to see you there whether you can donate or not. I feel your support in just being there! Wish I could use this backdrop but it’ll be getting too dark so will be cosy inside 🌿 Don’t forget, each donation counts twice as one incredibly generous supporter will be matching each dollar donated till the deadline of the campaign. Thank you @ausculturalfund for this wonderful platform to support artists ✨ Hope to see you there! 🌹 #isabelrumble #begavalley #originalmusic #crowdfunding #livestream #liveperformance

Just doing a shout out to @southeastarts and @creatensw for giving me some CASP funding earlier in the year. . Here a picture from the @horsedrawncadillac live recording at @horses.el a few months ago. . I’ve been doing a lot more production work in the last little while and was able to upgrade my recording and mixing setup thanks to the CASP funding. . There’s a new round of funding open right now. Check it out if you have some creative projects on the boil and need some resources to make them happen. . 📸 @teganportener
