Benji Fowler

This collaboration between the poetry of @elizabethwalton.au and the music of Richard Lawson has evolved over many years, developed with the skills of many creative people. What began as a shared vision evolved through countless conversations, revisions and an extensive feedback loop. The poetry responds to the music responds to the poetry. Here, we open into the story behind this project and how we built the music — together, working with Sam’s Caravan, and Ben Fowler, who we have worked with on festivals (and who made a guest appearance on the recording of Let Me Hear Your Song by our band Honey. @acaciaquartet travelled from across state to rehearse and record the scores at Four Winds, Bermagui in the Wind Song pavilion. 🎶 Featured track: ‘Naarm, Your Place of Last Resort’ — a special preview from the album. Just doing a shout out to @southeastarts and @creatensw for giving me some CASP funding earlier in the year. . Here a picture from the @horsedrawncadillac live recording at @horses.el a few months ago. . I’ve been doing a lot more production work in the last little while and was able to upgrade my recording and mixing setup thanks to the CASP funding. . There’s a new round of funding open right now.
