@tavernetour this Valentine's Day at @bottesetwhiskey with @spaghatt for their album launch! Also with @finefoodmarkett on the 12th at @lasalarossa So many good acts to catch it's frightening to be honest, they did a good job booking this one!

As a native Frederictonian, there are no words to express the honour and excitement with which I take the stage at the legendary Playhouse for this year’s Shivering Songs festival on Thursday, January 22nd. There is nothing more iconic than the theatre’s mural dancing along my hometown’s landscape. The Playhouse was built in 1964. Three years later, Simon and Garfunkel took the stage as part of the joint UNB-STU Winter Carnival. Other names to have graced the stage include people like Celine Dion and Leonard Cohen. And now me! haha As a little kid, I have fond memories of seeing all kinds of shows there, but probably most importantly, Characters Incorporated. Real freddy ones know. With the future of the theatre uncertain, it is truly special for me to come full circle in this building. My very first canada.gov.ca show was part of Shivering Songs, January 2023. And now, I’m back on home ice 3 years later. A big thank you to Zach Atkinson for this one! Finally, I’m pleased to announce that Montreal’s @benjaminvallee will be opening the show. I encourage everyone to come for the beginning of the show and bask in the warm tones of Ben’s alt-country music charm. You will not regret it. There is no amount of time that could pass to erase Christmas two years ago at the old apartment with the whole family and what it will always mean to me. We ate so well and laughed so hard; enough for every Christmas to come. By the end of the night my uncle and my father and I listened to Live at Fillmore East and Live at the Regal with our eyes closed and talked about the records as though we were there at those recordings. I found a copy of Late For The Sky by Jackson Browne on CD yesterday in the states. We didn't listen to that album that night but months later in the hospital with my father I became transfixed on that album - it's so good and is still so good to me. The two years that followed these photos have been one thing for sure and that's cumbersome. I'm so relieved to have all of you in my life and the power of music that is undefeated. Happy new year everyone ❣️❗
