To return to @bangor_university my alma mater, and be awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Science and admitted to the Company of Honorary Fellows is an extraordinary honour.
As I shared in my speech:
"This University helped shape the person I am today. It gave me confidence when I had very little, perspective when I needed it most, and friendships that have lasted far beyond my time here. Bangor is a place that leaves its mark, in the best possible way."
Additionally to the new Graduates:
"What truly matters in life isn’t the recognition we receive, but the courage to keep moving forward when the outcome is uncertain. I wish you courage, curiosity, and the confidence to keep moving forward even when the outcome is uncertain. And always remember: Bangor will forever be your academic home."
Thank you to Bangor University for the belief, the kindness, and the reminder of what education can unlock.

@bbcsportwales Sports Personality of the Year. 🤯
To be the first rower ever to win it, and only the third Para athlete, means more than I can put into words. I never set out chasing awards like this, just trying to be the best version of myself each day. So this honestly feels surreal.
None of this happens alone.
My coaches, teammates, family, friends, and everyone in Welsh sport who’s backed me… this belongs to all of you too. Thank you for lifting me up on the hard days and celebrating the good ones.
I hope this shines a little light on what’s possible in rowing and in Para sport.

First race of 2026 and what a way to start.
Back at the @paralympics venue for the first time since 2024… a place that holds some pretty special memories. This time, a different challenge. A tough cross headwind made sure there was no settling in, it was a fight all the way down the course.
Huge respect to @alexis.schz13 for pushing me right to the line in those conditions, that’s what racing is about. And even better to share the podium with @jk_wds as he takes home his first international medal. Moments like that are what make this sport so special.
Also brilliant to see the squad growing, with 6 new athletes classified into @gb_rowing_team The future is building.
