Nothing but gratitude to everyone that some how some way played a roll in my life this year. It was one of the most challenging years but also one filled with the most lessons.
For those that didn’t know my mother had a stroke last year and then got cancer, most likely in part to that wack Covid vaccine but God gave her another chance at life❤️ she beat cancer this year.🙏🙏🙏
I learned that when things are not going the way they should sometimes you just have to drop your ego, stop, take one step back to take two steps forward.
As I mentioned at the very beginning of the year when I stayed in Montañita for a month after the first edition of Trotamundo, it was a year were we completely changed our strategy. this year was a pivotal year for us as we dropped the weekly commitment we had with our city, mainly due to not being at the correct venue. This gave us the opportunity to plant new seeds, were we brought 4 different micro festival type productions, from Trotamundo, to MMW, to Freedom Festival and Synergy-Art Basel. Each one of them was an experience that we all together took to the next level. Now that we have established these 4 seeds, its time to double up and watch these beautiful seeds grow, and become foundations of our beloved music scene.
It was a year of patience, let downs and of full support by people who believe in what we do, new partnerships, new friends, and lots of travel. Staying in Europe all summer was the move and I can’t wait to do it all over again. Miami, I know a lot of you feel like we abandoned you all summer but it was definitely a break and space I needed to focus on the projects that will change our scene for good.
Nothing but love to all my friends, family and supporters, you make my world go round. As we close this year I can finally say that everything is falling into place the way it should. I understand that all my set backs were for a reason and im grateful for all the good the bad and the ugly. and im proud, proud to know that no matter what is thrown down my way that I have the strength to pull through in the most positive way.
2025 is looking promising. Stay tuned.
