Del templo:
De forma histórica y universal, la arquitectura de lo sagrado ha funcionado como un límite semántico: una frontera que corta y separa aquello que pertenece a los dioses —su sala— su espacio, el lugar donde moraban brevemente. Por lo mismo, el templo simbolizaba el vínculo in situ del mundo terrenal con lo divino.
Si bien existen claras distinciones y variaciones en sus diversas manifestaciones, la centralidad de la conmemoración y el contacto con aquello que eleva el alma es innegable; de hecho, constituye su función esencial. Y ante ella, es posible abrirse al cuestionamiento de sus límites —físicos y simbólicos—.
¿Qué es sagrado?
¿las horas perdidas frente a una fuente? ¿el rumor del vendaval que apela al hogar? ¿el rasgueo de una guitarra?
¿Cuál es el objeto de nuestra devoción más ferviente?
¿a qué consagramos las horas en velo? ¿qué nos absorbe y qué nos consume hasta disipar la noción del tiempo? ¿Dónde somos, fuimos o estamos más
auténticamente vivos?

Along the lines of ‘The Poetics of Space’, by Gaston Bachelard, the concept of home is explored through space, symbols, and metaphors. Specifically, Bachelard finds value in the action of creating a home through meaning and love-containing objects, such as seashells. Not only do these objects of nature possess an intriguing beauty, they are an ever growing desire that has taken the shape of the being that inhabits it. There is something magical about the seashell being a home that’s built from the inside out, and not the other way around.
What a posture, to suggest that instead of limiting ourselves to walking into a predetermined space to which we adapt, humans should sentimentally make a home from within, molding the space around us.
A home that grows through and along with us, powered by that subtle magic of moonlight. That intimate scale that forever embraces the heart and conjures the energy of a temple.

En sintonía con La poética del espacio de Gaston Bachelard, el concepto de hogar se explora a través del espacio, los símbolos y las metáforas. Bachelard encuentra valor, especialmente, en el acto de crear un hogar mediante objetos cargados de significado y afecto, como los caracoles marinos. Estos objetos de la naturaleza no solo poseen una belleza intrigante: son un deseo en constante expansión que toma la forma del ser que lo habita. Hay algo mágico en que la concha sea un hogar construido de adentro hacia afuera, y no al contrario.
Qué postura tan reveladora: sugerir que, en lugar de limitarnos a entrar en un espacio predeterminado al cual debamos adaptarnos, los seres humanos deberíamos construir sentimentalmente un hogar desde nuestro interior, moldeando el espacio a nuestro alrededor.
Un hogar que crece en nosotros y a través de nosotros, impulsado por esa magia sutil del resplandor lunar. Una escala íntima que abraza para siempre el corazón y convoca la energía de un templo.
