I love baseball and I love photography. Very happy to be able to take some photos at the Rockies game today @thecoorsfield . Got a cool double exposure of the sunset and the stadium from the mile high bleachers in center field. The last time I was in this stadium I was like 5 years old and I sat in this CF section so it was a cool return. #multipleexposure #photography @baseballphotogs

The photographer and the photographers friends... And then the photographer again in camping season. Special shout out to everyone that understands that hanging out with me involves also being a model for me and being okay with it. I've been doing a lot of film photography again recently and I've been really enjoying it. I love the pace and the intentionality behind every image. Special thanks to @ana.sliusarenko for the first photo and making me look cool. Mix of Fujifilm 400, Kodak TMax 400, and Kodak Ektar 100 #film #photography

Had a good photowalk in Downtown LA last night. Ive been doing walks downtown for years but I'm still finding new spots to be creative. Thankful to the photo crew that came through and added to the fun. We didn't end up making it to the jazz club because @bewaremyfuji and I spent much too long photographing the freeway from the bridge. But I think it was worth it. Looking forward to the next one!

These are a few of my favorite photos from a project I got to shoot set stills on recently. This was such a fun project to work on as there were so many setups and fun actions to capture. Also awesome to see my guy @michaelchemaly in action 💪🏼

Slow shutter can be a really cool style of photography to play with out in the wild. My method lately has been finding a cool vantage point with a lot of moving elements, wait for someone to stand still, and then hope something else happens. Fortunately for me, this guy was really into his phone call and stayed still long enough for me to get a couple of shots. Which do you like better? It took a lot of patience to learn photography and it's taken a lot of photography to learn patience. But I'm getting better at both. Moments like this are good reminders that patience can be rewarding.

A Rainy Day in Barcelona Today I took a long rainy photowalk around Barcelona while listening to Blue Rev on repeat and searched for puddles, pockets of light, and paraguas. I always feel so creatively inspired in Barcelona: I'm not sure if it's the novelty of so many multi-centenarian buildings or the tall, canyon-esque alley streets that get me the most. But whatever it is, I am a big fan. I may have soaked through my jacket, but my camera survived and we were able to get some photographs that I like a lot! I hope you like them too. #fujifilm #x100vi #streetphotography #rain #barcelona @fujifilmx_us @jonas.rask @alvvaysband

Roma in Black and White There is so much to see in Rome, I feel like I could wander the streets forever and still find things to photograph. Photographing in black and white allows me to focus more on the action and the contrast in light of a scene. In a city of so much rapid movement, I've been having fun trying to freeze time while still showing off some of this movement. It was difficult to choose a set of photographs out of the many many many I've created already since being here. But the black and white has been continuing to inspire me and I hope to pass some of that inspiration on to you. #blackandwhite #photography #rome #fujifilm #x100vi @fujifilmx_us

Finished work, took a boat to Fort Sumpter, took a lot of photographs, saw a lot of dolphins, read about the civil war, folded a flag, lost most of the feeling in my hands, took some more photographs, caught the sunset and the moonrise. Great day. It's always a bit strange alternating between color and black and white, but today I was loving the shapes and textures of the boat and water and thought black and white would be perfect to capture it all. However, it's hard to show off a cool sunset without shooting in color. #x100vi

Flowers Everywhere Went on a hike to my newly discovered secret spot in LA and there's been such a nice early-spring bloom going on. In a continual endeavor to grow creatively, I've been experimenting more with shutter drag. All of these exposures were captured at about 1/15th of a second with a flash. I have a lot of fun with this style because you can have one consistent subject but create 5 very unique photographs (or in the case of my camera roll 40 unique photos). Someone once told me that photographs of flowers are boring because it's too easy to make a good image since the subjects themselves are so pretty. I personally think that's a terrible take. Photograph whatever you want. We're lucky to have such beautiful subjects in the wild just ready to foster creativity. #fujifilm #x100vi #flowers #losangeles #spring

Golden Hour/Cool Cat Vibe/Red I found some new spots today that I'd never explored including a secret garden on top of a hill, a bridge to a mysterious park, and a couple of cool red cars. I followed a pathway of randomly selected turns thru a neighborhood until, in a very Haruki Murakami fashion, I got to a cul-de-sac at the top of the hill where I met a cat. This cat was napping in the sun soaked driveway. When I pulled up and got off my bike, he came to greet me as an old friend. In a way I could only take as a blessing, he rubbed against my legs and against my bike and then walked back to nap in the disappearing and deepening golden light. Photo-bikes might be superior to photowalks because I can cover so much more ground and flow with the chaotic waves of inspiration more fluidly. #losangeles #goldenhour

Multiple Exposure Neon in Fremont, NV Creating in-camera multiple exposures of neon signs is one of my favorite forms of photography (in case you haven't noticed). I like to use each exposure as a puzzle piece to create this overall Gestalt of a collage. There's so much to consider when creating these types of images: color, style, font, size, focus... And I like the idea that 5 different people photographing the same things could create totally different images. Or even the same person 5 different times. I just got a 1/4 Pro Mist filter that I thought was going to be too much but actually looks pretty nice in the way it makes the Neon lights glow. All of these images are created with the "Light" mode in the Fujifilm Multiple exposure settings @fujifilmx_us #x100vi #neon #multipleexposure #lasvegas

Moonrise over Los Angeles Last night was the last full moon of the year so I wanted to go somewhere special to make sure I could catch it right as it was coming over the mountains. Got lucky with a really beautiful sunset which provided the awesome colors here. I was worried about not having a telephoto lens to capture this, but I think they came out pretty good anyway. This style of photography isn't something I practice much but it's always so fun to branch out and try something new. Met a couple cool photographers up there as well. Also I don't know if Moon Canyon Park is a real place, but I have to imagine that this is potentially the spot that @pearlandtheoystersband wrote this song about. See you next month, Ms Moon #losangeles #skyline #landscape #moon #downtown #fujifilm
