This house was so much fun to shoot! Not only was it two blocks from my house which allowed me to walk to it with my cart full of gear, the weather was perfect, the homeowners were gracious and my clients were a dream. Traverse Architects brought their crew to help stylize each scene. Top Notch prepped each room by removing curtain rods and other extraneous objects to make things look as clean as possible. We were a well-oiled machine by the time 10am hit! It felt like I have been working the with these guys for years. Looking forward to sharing more work with this wonderful team. For now, enjoy these photos from Lake St!

At peak foliage in the Berkshires, MA, I sent up the new drone to chase the last light of autumn. The air was crisp, the pond still, and the colors shimmered like they were alive. This is why I love New England, where every season feels like a story, and every fall reminds us how beautiful change can be. Watch the short video at the end to see it come to life.

Here it is! The cover of the latest issue for Miss Porter’s School magazine! What a fun time this shoot was. I flew into Oakland in March to photograph Glenda for the cover portrait at her home. We had five locations around her house and the design team at Moth chose this one. I had a stellar assistant from the area that helped make the shoot smooth as butter. Glenda’s daughter was getting married two days after this, so we wanted to be as quick and convenient as we could!
🔸
The rest of the photos were shot on a rainy day at the campus in Connecticut a few weeks after the shoot with Glenda. Many thanks to the entire school staff and students for making this assignment such a fun time!

One of my favorite modern design styles of any home that I’ve had a chance to photograph. Swipe all the way to see the rest of the house and the exterior. I could have spent days here taking pictures. Cambridge, Ma.

Here are some snaps from my shoot last week with Boston area personal trainer Jacky! She was an ace in front of the camera and showed me just a glimpse of her daily grind. Loved capturing some of these action shots! Afterwards she treated me to a coffee and we talked movement, diet and all things health.

Shooting rooftop portraits with the @hollister_institute above their downtown office. Hollister is a staffing agency that I’ve worked with a bit over the years. They wanted to create a new leadership program that embodied their company philosophy. The idea I came up with was to capture earth, fire, water and air for their holistic leadership program. In addition, we created team portraits. Kip, the owner is here shown in the middle.
🔸
I shot 3,000+ photos, 50+ models, in 8+ locations and we had two months of prep time. Organizing six different shoots took a ton of energy and an all hands on deck approach. We shot on the Charles river on kayaks, in a farm outside the city, on rooftops, in offices, mediation rooms and kitchens. Swipe right to see some of the meditation room shots. If only every office had a zen space such as this, it would surely increase productivity. Production manager and art director @gmwll took the lead on helping find locations and models for the shoots. Thanks to The Sherman Group for bringing me in on such a fun and unique project!

I loved photographing this stunning home designed by @inkstonearchitects in Concord, Ma. We shot all day and finished with the exteriors on a cloudy and rainy Winter day. With proper styling, lighting and compositions, we were able to make some great photographs of this beautiful addition.

I photographed the first shot fired in Lexington, MA on Patriot’s Day. This was an assignment for the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism and Proverb Agency.
🔸
The Lexington Minute Men and local British Revolutionary War reenactors put on a commemoration of the skirmish that took place on Lexington Common, early on the morning of April 19, 1775. The commemoration of the “Battle of Lexington” is on Patriots’ Day – April 18, 2022 starting at 5:45 am on the Lexington Common.

Portraits of two Theology professors for @harvardgsas for the Colloquy alumni magazine in the dopest of libraries. There were undoubtably ghosts in that place. The lighting here was done with one very soft fill light coming from behind the camera to decrease the contrast and a silver reflector to the left of my subjects. The main light was from just window to the right. I generally like to find the natural light and work with it.
🔸
As usual, I shot this on a tripod to maximize my connection with the subjects. For whatever reason, shooting duos is more difficult than any group size larger. I wanted to make the mood serious and only slightly unnerving.

I recently had my photography featured in House Beautiful magazine. It was for a two day photo shoot on Martha’s Vineyard for Georgantas Design + Development.
This was the most fun part of the house to photograph. Here is the spiral staircase curling around New York artist Alyson Shotz’s “Helix” sculpture. In the third photo from this series, you’ll notice a fun detail for the children. It’s a matchbox car race track that wraps along the outside of the stairway. The second photo on the bottom left you can see the finish line on the bottom of the stairs. 🔸
This was a very fun and detail oriented project. More photos and a link to the article written by the talented @jblaisekramer can be found here: bengebo.com/news
