Ouseburn valley, Newcastle upon Tyne. I visited this place many years ago for my 21st birthday and it was derelict except for one pub, The Ship. I had my first whiskey there ignoring the advice of an old man.
Now it's been successfully redeveloped and transformed into something quite amazing. Various charities, arts studios, vintage shops, bars and even a brilliant city farm.
The river and spectacular bridges were there on my first visit and still very striking.
