Beyond excited to announce that Positive Illusions is being published with @selfpublishbehappy @mack_publishing See link in bio for more information! ⚡️⚡️⚡️ When I first started messing around with CGI in 2022, I really could have never imagined where the technology would take me. In spite of the images not being created with a traditional camera, this work, this process in general, made me rediscover and fall in love with photography again. I hope this project demonstrates that. Hard to really express what this moment means to me and I’m very grateful. Special thanks to @brunoceschel of SPBH Editions for taking this project on and making this book a reality. Thank you to @macedocannata for the beautiful design and @brianpaullamotte for art directing. More thanks to @miloove of @ecal_photography who really pushed me to build this project and believing in the work. The book is available for preorder right now. Months ago, @shaydaomidvar asked all of the artists now represented by @allthisproductions_ to create a series of self portraits for the magazine and launch and this is what I came up with (BTS coming soon). Check out the magazine to see what the other artists on the roster came up with. Grateful to be a part of this new journey with mother Shayda, long time friend, collaborator and leader at the helm. 🌹🌹🌹

How it’s made 👾👾👾!!! Really enjoyed working on this project for @businessweek where I got to experiment a bit with animation. These “select all” captchas reminded me of rubix cubes so I took the idea and ran with it. Enjoy 😉 Thanks again @lancehan for the assignment and letting me play around. #cgi #blender

Another fine art darling I am sharing in the commercial space, Benjamin Freedman’s work is unlike any others on our roster, because it is all computer generated. This isn’t your typical CG-imagery, dreamlike and nostalgic, his images lock you in to absorb every detail with awe. While probing the relative truths and deceptions of photography, he purposefully adopts visual vocabularies from cinema and television in an effort to create expanded documentary projects. He has exhibited extensively in Canada, the US, Korea, Italy, Switzerland, and Latvia. Benjamin and I met as teenagers and when we were 24, I told him “I’ll represent you as a photographer one day”. It’s a beautiful, full-circle moment to finally be able to say that I kept my word. Bringing my best friend along for this ride has been a privilege to say the least. @benfreed ❣️

2025 - one of the best years of my life. Published my first book, Positive Illusions with @selfpublishbehappy and @mack_publishing , had a solo exhibition in New York with @ptolemy.world , started producing work on assignment, got a new job, some hikes, friends, got back into baking, family, gym, good food, travel. I felt really lucky and blessed to be surrounded by so many lovely people. Definitely bringing this energy with me into 2026.

Huge thank you to @ohthattimdavis for taking the time to write about the work 😉 below is an excerpt of his thoughtful and reflective essay: “Freedman is a fabulist, and like the writer of any great fable (including The Descent of Inanna), his dreams take us to the underworld. Our (supersized) drinking cup is torn down from the peg where it hung. The cup lies on its side. Ben Freedman’s dream lives on.” 👾👾👾👾👾

I had a great time experimenting with CGI and crafting a surreal little world messing with paper and simulations and mess.
