Bend Summer Pride 2026 is happening June 6th at Drake Park, and this year, we’re keeping it simple, grassroots, and genuinely ours. Think biiiiig picnic energy: blankets on the grass, local food carts, drag pop-ups, acoustic sets, lawn games, and a whole lot of laughin’ and lovin’.
We’re a small volunteer team doing our best to create something real, and we’re so grateful for every single one of you who shows up, whether that’s with a big meal with your chosen family, a performance, your artistry, or your presence.

We want EVERYONE to have fun this weekend, so in that spirit, here are some guidelines to follow to protect our dancers AND yourself!
CONSENT IS SEXY:
✋ No unwanted physical contact: Don’t touch dancers unless they initiate it or have explicitly given you permission.
🤏 Respect personal space: Be aware of personal safety zones and please don’t hover.
💰 Tip generously: Show your appreciation by taking care of the dancers with cash/venmo, especially if you are up front or they interact with you.

Cleve Jones has spent his life at the intersection of activism, survival, and hope. As a pioneering 2SLGBTQIA+ rights activist, author, and labor organizer, Jones has long been a force for social justice, from the frontlines of San Francisco’s Castro District to national campaigns for dignity, healthcare, and human rights. A close friend and protégé of Harvey Milk, Jones emerged as a key figure in the gay liberation movement of the 1970s. He later channeled the heartbreak of the HIV/AIDS epidemic into collective action by founding the AIDS Memorial Quilt, the largest community art project in the world.

Maria Jackson is a soulful, moody vocalist hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, inspired by artists like Adele, Corinne Bailey Rae, Phoebe Snow, Beyoncé, and Sade. She was first introduced to music through trumpet lessons from her uncle and late-night record-listening sessions with her father. Years later, while living in St. Helens, Oregon, an impromptu karaoke performance revealed her voice—and changed her path. Her music is raw, emotional, and deeply human, reminding us that heartbreak and music are universal languages we all share!
Plus, it was her BIRTHDAY yesterday 🎉 🎂 so send her ALL the best wishes AND come celebrate it ALL as our community this weekend!

The Rum Peppers are a dynamic rock band hailing from Central Oregon, known for their high-energy performances and engaging presence in the local music scene. The band comprises members Zeus Guelfex, Paul Streichen, Scott Kanavel, Joe Martin, and Logan Anderson, who together create a distinctive sound that resonates with audiences. Their live shows are celebrated for their electrifying atmosphere, earning them recognition as one of Bend’s favorite party bands! “When it comes to music, we turn on, tune in, turn up, and drop out.”
They’re givin’ us grooves to dance, stroll, eat, chat, and celebrate to on our main stage at Drake Park! Bring a blanket to sit on and friends to enjoy music with!
