• 🎥 • No compensating here: We’re making an incredibly ambitious day possible with the help of @angenieuxlenses masterfully crafted 12:1 ((36 - 435)). 7 Continents / 1 Year.
What began as a wish, ended up as a dream — a dream, manifest as the most rigorous, exciting and significant travel year of my life.
The wish was ambitious enough: Antarctica.
Then, the Universe showed me (as it always does), how big it dreams on my behalf — and a series of events unfolded that would take me to all 7 Continents on earth, in 1 calendar year.
I could never begin to convey what such a year looks, feels, sounds & tastes like in one post — but let me tap my memory for just one moment & share what rises most to the surface:

• sur/real • When you’re on stage filming The Killers, then turn around to see your Pressure Machine cover shot projected at 100’ in front of 15,000 people. My hands were shaking, my heart was bursting. I wish I could express what this moment meant to me. When you give your soul to a craft (working your ass off, doubting yourself endlessly, hoping for the best), there’s zero guarantees that it’ll ever pay off. And what does that even mean? What is success? What is fulfillment? I can tell you that it’s not dollars in the bank and it’s not vanity—it’s about connection; it’s about being part of something bigger than yourself. • 📸 • Any Given Tuesday // As I lean into year 26 as a Light Writer, I find myself in awe. Millions of photos in the can — yet, still making photos I’ve never made. Inventing, then re-inventing myself. Making icons & smashing them into metaphorical dust — just so I can start over. My passion for this craft greater than ever — and I genuinely believe the best of my work on this earth, is yet to come. • Anam / Cara • In my travels, I’ve met many wonderful people — but once in a great while, I meet someone who is much more — more like family. Not just friends, but kin. Instant familiarity, mutual respect & effortless depth. I was blessed to find one of my forever friends in Rome. Hours passed like minutes, as we discussed life, heritage, family, culture and…antiques. My Friend, this is hardly the beginning — and definitely not the end.

I love this moment so much — I love what it represents. For nearly a month, we’ve traveled tens of thousands of miles, telling stories of faith in Christ across planet earth. It’s been wonderful & weird, sweet & sweltering, exhausting & exhilarating. The people, the places, the moments — so many moments. •🌘🌑🌒• The mountain began to silhouette behind a wisp of glowing clouds — the full moon was coming. I grabbed my camera, stepped into my yard & waited for it to crest. I got the attention of some students in the park, to enjoy the moment with me — and the moment did not disappoint. The moon broke the horizon, just behind the jagged spire & shelves of the Rockies. The clouds created an actual hålo around the moon — a haunting nod to the Fall season around the corner — and I was lucky enough to witness + capture this moment. To me, this is actual magic — & the metaphor is not lost: Look up, my friends — look up, and live. God + Nature are the great constants of my life — I’d be toast without them. • of Dreams, & Doing • How far would you go for your dream? Would you suffer — would you suffer immensely? Would you exercise all the capacity of your mental fortitude to stay the course, even when the course is fraught with danger, pain & travail; even (& especially) when there’s no guarantee for success? Raw, wild, pure Nature is my Dream — & puffins are worth every ounce the difficulty that it took, to receive this moment — for which, I am ineffably grateful. For now the difficulty is past, & all the sweet joy of having an Island to myself & hanging with the most magical creatures on earth — that joy is eternally mine. I have God to thank, for the fire in my belly; I have my will to thank, for never giving up — and I have my dear friend Addi to thank for saying yes to my crazy & helping me get the last & most important stretch. Without exaggeration, last night was one of the most incredible nights of my life.
