This is the biggest project I’ve undertaken in a while! In June last summer I was approached by @scadartsales to create a 53 feet mural for SCAD’s new residence building dining hall, River House. This was inspired by a commission from 2017 that I created for Luisa Via Roma and Patricia Field in Florence, Italy. The mural is a series of 40 styrofoam semi orbs in a various sizes 48” to 12” painted and screen printed. The orbs were installed in December and the building opened last week. This was so much fun to look back at one of my favorite past projects and develop a design especially for SCAD. It is with a broken heart that I say goodbye to my sweet Dallas. 💝😢
This little guy came into my life in August 2020, rescued from the pound by the amazing @GRRR (georgia.rescue.rehab.relocate) a scrappy, scruffy 20lb poodle-Jack Russell mix with the biggest personality and the most expressive face I’ve ever seen on a dog.
From pound puppy to couch king, Dallas made every space he occupied warmer and more full of love. He had a gift for finding the best seat in the house — and claiming it entirely as his own.
Rest easy, sweet boy. You were so deeply loved.
