A while back, we went into the woods.
We came back remembering a few things.
Friends are priceless.
Nature is miraculous.
Bikes are rad.
Being your weird self is medicine.
Time is short.
So here’s the reminder, in case you need it too.
Call the people who matter.
Get outside.
Be with all your relations.
Plant.
Animal.
Fern.
Fungi.
Family.
Friend.
One big, weird, mysterious family.
Honoring this amazing mama today.
Thank you for pouring your love, heart, and wisdom into your three beautiful boys. For guiding them toward discovering and trusting into who they truly are, and helping them grow into the depth of their own hearts.
You show me every day what unconditional acceptance, love, and parenting look like.
Your love, commitment and fierce support of your ‘three little birds’ inspires me more than you know.
And thank you for giving that same nurturing love to me.
Happy Mother’s Day. 🙏💕
My mom.
The sweetest, kindest, gentlest, most loving person I’ve ever known.
I am so lucky and grateful she is my mama.
She has believed in me, supported me, loved me, and given me the benefit of the doubt my whole life.
Whatever goodness is in me is there in large part because of who she is and how she has loved and mothered me.
I honor her this Mother’s Day.
And I honor all mothers, the ones I know and the ones I don’t, for the quiet, fierce, often thankless work of loving with your whole heart, even when it is hard.
Thank you. 🙏
It’s a gift to be part of sharing this Earth Day wisdom from @paulstamets “We’re tapping into something that is so vastly intelligent, it exceeds our ability to comprehend or even imagine. We exist in this network of nature, which is a deep reservoir of knowledge. We can tap into this massive universal intelligence. What will unfold will be magnificent.” 🌍🙏💕
We all want to feel good.
So we chase it out there.
But the real shift happens inside, when we learn to see, accept, and love the parts of ourselves we once hid.
@nicoladel1 has loved me through the messy edges and the tender spots. In doing so, she’s taught me to do the same.
Thank you, my love. We doozing it right up! 💕
Us…my love 💕
📷 @kathleenharrisonphoto A testament to a friendship evidenced by pictures. A confusing way to say she makes you comfortable in front of the camera 🩷🩷🩷
Everything, everywhere, gonna love you 🩷 Life over the last several months from summer vacation to this past weekend. Feeling grateful for all of it - family and good health most of all.
Throwback Thursday — Racing the Shasta Lemurian Classic in 1989 . A photo op spot at the infamous “ Lemurian Chute “. This was Roy Rivers’ WTB Team Trek that I bought directly from Mark Slate at the WTB office , which was just a mile from where I went to high school . SpeedMaster roller cams , steel WTB handlebars , Type 2 fork , grease guard everywhere, toe clips and straps ( pre SPD ) Easily the stiffest most uncomfortable bike I’ve ever ridden. The Cunningham fit finder adjustable stem didn’t help either . Steve Potts built me a custom high rise stem as part of the deal . I basically out grew the bike the day I bought it. I rode the crap out of the bike, then sold it at a swap meet in San Anselmo a few years later . Should have kept it for another 30 years !
Here’s one from the Wayback Machine… ‘92 Surf City CX, UCSC campus… shot by my pal, @markdawsonstudio , and sent my way by another pal, @jbridin . Those were good days… may the best still be ahead of us!
