The @defiwind today!!! …but remember ‘when the cloud comes it will drop!!’ … before the start was cranking!!!I actually did the race on Wave gear.. 4.2 EVOQ and Flywave 84… I can safely say 40km (4x10km) on wave kit is hardcore on the shins!! As your feet are in the middle of the board.. finished 123rd.. I’ll take that considering the speed difference to the slalom boards! Let’s see what tomorrow brings!!Check the @waterspeedapp to see if I won a hat!?! (if you go over 25knots @defiwind on Waterspeed you get a hat!! )

CRAZY windy session yesterday at Bordeira… 4.7 And 96 Omnia (Freewave) .. I didn’t pack anything smaller. The forecast was for 15knots.. but the SE wind at Bordeira funnels and accelerates like crazy sometimes.. and yesterday was one of those days! It’s Super offshore but can be fun for aerial challenges and speed runs on the wave. Managed a 30 knot run @waterspeedapp and 3 aerials on one run! How FAST is my 90 Wave board ??Just did a test through the @waterspeedapp … my Flywave (Quad fin Wave board) Vs Omnia (Trifin Freewave)…Flat water.. 4.7 wave sail .. I weigh 78kg.. windy in the gusts! Offshore Session at Bordeira!!!Hard work.. Burt pretty FUN!Joined by Justin and Bernardo (CRAZY Portuguese fella haha) 4.7 and the 96 Omnia... (stacked in the gusts) like I say it was pretty offshore (Check the @waterspeedapp ) but it wasn’t a usual South East wind.. it had a bit more East in it than usual. So at least some angle (not much though)The wind was forecast 15knots.. but if it’s sunny the wind absolutely cranks in Bordeira in a SE.The Waves were probably a bit big for that off shore. I mean it wasn’t big but it’s a bit easier to line up when its smaller..I took a few on the head as it was very gusty and got stuck inside!! All part of the fun.. also I took the head cam this time. DJI 5.. let me know what you think to this view? Better or worse than the Insta360...Wetsuit: @osheasurfKit: @simmerstyle_windsurfingCamera DJI

Surfing vs Windsurfing…. Bring a friend day at Gale today!!! haha... everyone stoked!! ️ Fun little South coast session... Not ideal with a 7:30am Low tide... but we got a few hours in before the tide got too high!5.3 (and 90)was actually pretty powered up when the wind kicked... but still the right choice. Great to see a good turn out.. more SE wind coming but with Rain.. lets see what we get!Stats on @waterspeedapp ... although i did start the watch a bit late!@osheasurf - Wetsuit@simmerstyle_windsurfing Gear@insta360

What the hell has happened to the beach??? No sand to be seen!! CRAZY!But Fun Sess at Pozo!!! ...Errr I mean Tonel!!4.7 EVOQ and 90 Flywave... the 90 is going to be my go to board here in Portugal. Perfect size... good to see a few in the water today even got a visit from Mr Irish Slab connoisseur. Fun South coast session with the boys today! The spot.. Gale. I hadn’t sailed at Gale for a while but definitely worth the drive! Really playful session not massive but fun!4.7 full power on the 90 Flywave.. Mixing it up today on the ‘Omnia’ 96 and 5.3 Black tip team carbon… couple of big gusts coming through…. Even managed to get over 31 knots on @waterspeedapp Not bad for a Freewave and wave sail!! …. But to be honest I only really went out on the water to bust out some old school moves and have a play!! 360s, body drags.. pirouette gybes .. I love it.. super fun!!Obviously it’s an @osheasurf wetsuit for those asking.. #BringBackTheColourGear: @simmerstyle_windsurfing@insta360 X5
