FLEURISH 2025: Celestial Threads, Signature Collection
Each year, we gather at Ijams Nature Center to create works of art, works of community, and works of wonder. We come together to celebrate each other, to adorn ourselves in celestial threads and technicolor glories. Fleurish artists step beyond the individual and experience the creation possible within community. We believe this to be the definition of sustainability.
As we look towards our neighbors and see floods, fires, famine, and threats of war, our action still remains looking towards our neighbors. We do not face these challenges alone and we have learned our help only comes from one another. While the clothing industry has transcended its previous production levels within the last decade, it’s an industry born in the last century. The destructive impacts of the clothing industry are a modern problem, and the solution is humans’ innate sense of creativity. Something none of us can escape from, no matter what systems are built to eliminate it.
There is no sustainable, planet-focused initiative that does not require us to come together and create a new standard. Fleurish stands to be an inspiring force for that change. It is our belief that this culmination of amazing music, extraordinary fashion, and unique people all within our own city is a world-changing initiative.
Gathering together generates a momentum that begins the process of changing the broken systems of our world. Transcending the idea of competition, defying the push for individualism, denying the voice that says that art isn’t everywhere and everything; that we, at our core, are not creative people. Making a meal, tending to a garden, choosing to express yourself with your clothing, raising children, all of these are strong acts of creation. Life itself is a grand creative work.
We want everyone who experiences Fleurish to be reminded of their ability to experience joy and share it with others. We do it out of love. Out of love for our planet, love for fashion, and
love for our people.
