Announcing Coming Home, releasing on 19 April 2024!🎧 Here it is, my newest single “Coming Home” which is set to be released on 19 April. The song has been long in the making, with it being one of the first songs that I performed when I started attending open mics around ten years ago. Coming Home has been produced with the help of some of the students at @confetti_ict , and I can’t wait for you all to hear it. You can pre-save the song now by clicking on this link in my bio

Pleased to reveal my own little open mic starting next month at The Abdication Micropub I've helped run open mics for years, starting with the numerous Roots indie music UK ones back in the day, and since covering at Lillie langtrys, Hop Merchant, Billy Bootleggers and numerous others around town ... but i've never actually had my own. There's already a host of fantastic open mics in and around Nottingham, so we wanted to try and make this special and not tread on any toes ... so here's a few things about this open mic. - It'll be once every 3 months. First in June and then one in September and December, before starting again next year. Hopefully this won't oversaturate the event and we can make it something a little special to look forward to - This open mic is totally unplugged. 1. it is at a intimate micropub, so a PA may be over kill. 2. after years of playing unplugged folk nights there's something special that comes when your unplugged, I feel like the room quietens down and really listens, which is what we wanted to create. - There will be a paid Spotlight set for each session playing a slightly longer set. Someone that is doing good stuff around Notts and has a wealth of original material to perform. Our first being the enigmatic Jimi Strange. - We also understood that we didn't want to clash with the other open mics in Notts and wanted to provide somewhere that those that can't usually attend the open mics can come (due to being on late during the week) ... so we will be running on a Sunday 2:30 - 4:30pm. The usual free drink per actl will be provided and potentially some food on. So pop by on the 7th June, bring your guitars and voice and let's have a lovely evening of music. Artwork created by a talented designer Laurence Crow Illustration. DON'T USE AI.

Pals ... im playing a spotlight set at the next @barley_twist open mic hosted by the wonderful @jimmyevansmusic Im going to use this as an oppurtunity to test out a bunch of new tunes ive been writing ... so it would be nice to see some people there to tell me whether to keep or scrap these songs! Its a usual open mic around my spotlight set, so give Jimmy a message to save a spot, or message me and ill pass it on ... I went along when it was @georgegadd night and it was fantastic, a great attentive audience, great sound and a great pub 9th April. 7ish start. See you there 🙂 📷 - @danielfigueirabourton

Huge shout out to Fontaine Guitars I took my guitar to him this week after numerous recomendations. I'd not had it looked at for a few years now and it turned out the increasing in gigging in the last few years (as well as leving it in numerous pubs and bus stops over the years) had shot the frets etc In just a couple days he sorted brand new frets, straightened the kneck and loads of other guiar nonsense that I didn't understand 😅 All I know is I couldn't put the guitar down after and this weekends gigging has been a breeze ... so much easier to play, sounds much nicer and who knew my guitar could stay in tune all over the fretbaord Quick work, freindly and knowledgable bloke and doesn't break the bank ... highly recommend.

Goodbye 2025 Here's my annual look back on the year. I tend to feel like ive not done as much original stuff due to other priorities, despite technically doing the most gigs in a yesr ive ever done (cover gigs) , so i had a look back and have actually done some cool stuff this year. - Ive played 115 gigs in total - ive supported some excellent acts in Starbotherers, Liam Cromby (We Are The Ocean), Kooey, ABDOUJAPAROV and more - ive played some cool festivals in HAA DO!, Foodies Festival, Hockley Hustle, Oxjam Beeston - I organised the 10th anniversary of the D.H. Lawrence Music Festival - Finally got the band back together to play a couple awesome shows Im sure theres more that ive not thought about, but I just want to thank everyone that ive shared a stage with this year, every venue owner, headline act, promoters that has booked me for a gig and everyone that has brought a ticket to a gig, listened to my music and shared it with their freinda. Your support always means a lot. To more gigs and music in 2026 🧡
