Part of Unearthed | Solo Exhibition by Ben Kellgren
In Unearthed, Kellgren explores modern technology’s role in reshaping our perception of the natural world. Through mixed media sculpture and abstract paintings, Kellgren’s work combines organic surfaces with layers of grids and dots, highlighting the tension between the natural and the artificial, the known and the unknown. This body of work invites reflection on our fragmented relationship with the natural world, the fragility of the world we seek to connect with, and the paradoxical human nature of exploration.

This year’s theme of Site + Sound includes works from artist @ben_kellgren , whose work “Draws from the dynamic natural setting of his native Bay Area, where he slowly builds depth and tension into each meditative work. He allows the image to surface gradually through hours of dot making to convey a sense of energy and movement.“ Check back for more artist highlights! And be sure to RSVP via the Evenbrite link on our site. See you October 11th! #2blocksofart #2blocksofartsf #siteandsound
