Capture who you are. We all have a unique opportunity to capture exactly who we are these days by sitting down and just talking to the camera a little bit. It doesn’t have to be posted to social media, you don’t have to show your mates and I’ll be honest in my experience to start with it feels very weird. But trust me when I tell you that no matter how boring you might think it is now one day it will be cool. As I find myself reminiscing over old videos (both those I have posted and those I have kept to myself) there is always something fantastic about looking back and seeing who I was back then and how I’ve changed up until now. So sit down and film yourself, even just a little check in I promise you’ll thank me later. If you read all this or watched the video to the end or both love ya 🫶

Been looking for inspiration for what to shoot next recently. I think it’s the biggest thing I struggle with when it comes to coming up with ideas for and making new videos. But, sometimes all it takes is a good afternoon and a beautiful sunset at a local park.

Is there really an art to noticing? I think you’ll find beauty in the place around you if you go looking for it. But what makes you look? The reason I started photography and videography is because it forces me to actively go looking for it, those finer details in the bigger picture. Especially when sometimes it’s easier to just overlook. Capturing it with a camera or if it just makes you stop for a second I think it’s always there if you just go looking.

Sometimes it’s just a case of doing stuff that you like doing. I’ve definitely been guilty of trying to live my life like it’s some kind of a race or contest. Always striving, always reaching. Having had some down time recently and escaping from that I’ve realised that things become so much easier when you just do them for enjoyment and honestly the outcomes always seem to just sort themselves out. Take a second to sit and listen to my fumble my way through another camera chat in a wheat field of all places 🥴 Love ya 🫶

Gone Wandering. Seems like this might be the last trip away for a little while until I can afford another tank of diesel! Sometimes you only need a short trip to enjoy a bit of outback @westernaustralia 🚙🌅 ps I know the commentary is silly but the more I spend time on camera the more I’ll get used to it (I hope)

I’m going to try. Watch me fumble through the story of what started as a favour and a bit of fun filming for a mate quickly turning into something more. Thanks so much to @jackmacmillan and @ocean.cycles for encouraging and showing faith in me. Appreciate you all that are following along so far <3

How life’s been looking lately 👀 Still spending as much time as I can with camera in hand and just focusing on making stuff that I’m proud of. Here some more from Freo and surrounds, nights out, hanging out with some mates and trying to get used to being on camera 🎥 🫶

For the love of Freo 🫶 From school to work to mates and family, good times, bad times and everything in between Freo has been a huge part of my life for a long time. It feels like no matter where I go Freo will always be home 🏠

Sculpture by the Sea 2026 through my eyes. Took the camera down to Cottesloe to have a look around. Days like this make me pretty grateful for the time just to walk around and shoot. For now we are just keeping the camera rolling and seeing where it leads. #PerthIsOK

What comes next? A question I find myself constantly both asking and being asked at the moment. Truthfully when I look around I am very grateful for how my life is, surrounded by good people, in a good place and finally giving myself time to practise something that I truely love and so maybe for now I’ll just enjoy it. Happy to keep practising my cinematography for now and grateful to have some good mates around me that I can help out with it. #cinematography #sonyaustralia

As of two weeks ago I was made redundant from my full time job. Rather than looking at this like a negative I’ve decided to treat it as an opportunity to explore some of the creative stuff I’ve always wanted to do. Here is what the first two weeks have looked like. Just me and a pretty nice camera spending some time around Freo and the South West. More to come :))
