Let's talk about the importance of planning. You know what they say - "wars are won in the general's tent." It's true! Taking the time to plan out your next moves can make all the difference in achieving your goals. But why is planning so important? Well, for starters, it gives you a clear direction and helps you stay focused on what you want to achieve. When you have a plan in place, you know exactly what steps you need to take to get there. It saves you time, energy and most importantly, your sanity. Planning can also help you anticipate obstacles and find solutions before they become problems. It allows you to consider different scenarios and plan accordingly, reducing stress and anxiety. Now, I know what you might be thinking. "But planning takes up so much time!" And I get it - life is busy and it can be hard to find time for anything. But trust me, taking a little extra time upfront to plan out your next moves will save you a tonne of stress and confusion in the long run. So, let's make time for planning! Whether it's for work, school, or personal goals, taking the time to strategise and plan out your next moves is crucial for success. Remember, the general doesn't go into battle without a plan, and neither should you. Let's conquer our goals, one step at a time! #BenKench #SalesCoach #LifeCoach #BusinessCoach #BusinessMentor #ProfessionalSpeaker #smallbusinessgrowths #smallbusinessleaders #businessgrowth #businessleaders #planning #plans #mentor #work #success #help

Famously in 1933 the US president at the time Franklin D Roosevelt said “the only fear is fear itself” … as he was referring to the nation and the possible armed conflict looming in Europe and was boosting morale in the nation he spoke to. We have slightly changed the way we might say it in today’s parlance but the meaning is clear – in all areas of life as a human being, it is fear that is our enemy nothing else. Fast forward to what we might see or hear on the news about potential threats…seemingly every which way we turn now there is a threat – might be discarded bags on trains or viruses escaping from the east or nations with threatening behaviour…everywhere we turn if you were to listen or watch the news there is a “something to be afraid of”. Have you ever asked yourself why? Well simply put, those who study human behaviours have learned that our primary instinct to avoid danger is the no.1 programming in most people. The human animal broadly speaking is ‘Risk Averse’ and so if one were to create a fear or a risk or a threat then that one might be expected to see a predictable behaviour e.g. if there is a perceived threat in a country then travel to that country would stop. If the message is loud enough and persistent enough it is believed and if it is believed and the ‘fear’ takes root then a behaviour of avoidance, in this instance, sets in. Fear controls behaviour. Thus, it is definitely possible and entirely probable that people can be coerced into a behaviour if the programming is good enough. It’s all Propaganda’. During World War 2 there was a ‘propaganda’ explosion. For the first time ever, everyday folks learned that ‘propaganda’ was broadcast media messages that were designed to mislead or brainwash. Indeed the general perception of propaganda was embraced by all as ‘Hitler’s lies’!! (check the comment section for the continuation of this article)

Imagine that you're waiting at a bus stop, hoping to catch a ride to your destination. If the bus you're waiting for doesn't arrive, you might feel disappointed or frustrated. But here's the good news: there will always be another bus coming along soon. This is the same with business opportunities. Sometimes you might miss out on a great opportunity, or it might not work out as planned. But that doesn't mean the end of your journey. Just like buses, there will always be another opportunity coming your way. It might be a different opportunity, or it might take a little longer to arrive, but it will come. So, if you're feeling down because you missed out on a business opportunity or faced a setback, don't worry. Keep your eyes open for the next opportunity that comes your way. Stay positive, keep learning and growing, and be ready to jump on board the next bus that comes along. Remember, the journey of entrepreneurship is full of ups and downs, but with perseverance and an open mind, you can achieve success. Keep the quote "business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming" in mind and stay hopeful. Who knows what amazing opportunities are just around the corner? #BenKench #SalesCoach #LifeCoach #BusinessCoach #ProfessionalSpeaker #mentor #business #opportunity #success #opportunities #learning #businessopportunities #smallbusinessleaders #smallbusinessgrowths #businessleaders #businessgrowths

One of the most important lessons in my life and career as a sales professional was this – it is as hard to sell something to someone when it is cheap as it is when it is a lot more expensive. The difference is that when you sell something for more money then you earn more money from the commission and for your efforts. Why sell something cheap?!! And so this wonderful book – which I discovered long after my early sales learning – explains that ‘Thinking Big’ is the key to a better life. It might be in a business thinking of a ‘Big’ client when you usually don’t believe that you can win anything other than ‘small’ clients. It might be that in a personal relationship, you think ‘small’ in so much as you don’t believe that you could ever attract that lovely ‘attractive in every way object of desire partner’…and thus thinking small in accepting a person that appears to be more flawed and less ‘perfect’ not the ‘big’ idea of what you really desire. It might be many, many areas of life… In truth what we think directs our actions…and our actions directly impact our life and deliver different results…and so simply put ‘Thinking Big[ helps you get ‘the life that you want’ not simply the life that you ended up with! And for that reason with love, I recommend that you grab a copy, read and digest the simple message, and start immediately changing your thinking and changing for the better of your life. With love always Ben x #BenKench #SalesCoach #LifeCoach #BusinessCoach #ThinkBig #ThinkingBig #BookRecommendation #business #career #sales #learning #money #love #smallbusinessgrowths #smallbusinessleaders #businessgrowth #businessleader #mentor #mentorship #mentoring

I love this quote from Henry Ford. It can be very empowering especially if you find yourself clinging to doubt. One of the primary ways of getting what you want is to start believing that you can achieve what you want. Without that firm belief, there is no action, there is no growth, and there is no fulfilment. What do you think of this quote? #HenryFord #MotivationalMonday #BenKench #SalesCoach #LifeCoach #BusinessCoach #growth #love #smallbusinessgrowths #smallbusinessleaders #businessgrowth #businessleaders #mindset #empowermentquotes #empowerment

WARNING! OFFENSIVE LYRICS… CONTROVERSIAL!! (well actually not the lyric but my twist on it!!) Classic lyrics… I absolutely love The Who … (but for clarity that is the band not the group of people who think they manage all of our world health issues!!!) But classic Daltry & Co and words that resonate with me as a sort of prayer for the British people… especially after we just had (in my humble opinion) the biggest brainwashing ever!! I mean, we’ve witnessed the media seriously manipulating the masses of minds to achieve an end game of millions jabbed for ‘protection’ against a ‘flu type virus’ … and yet you know that almost everybody in the early days felt that a ‘rushed through’ solution wasn’t the best or safest option… and most sensible folks and many very senior doctors and medics understood that a ‘virus’ isn’t really treatable it sort of has to ‘run its course’ as has always been the way and yet still millions were coerced and took it?!! … And strangely then 2 years later national and International statistics report a significant increase in ‘all cause mortality’?! Like 16% or more ‘up’ on history! Weird eh?! Yea, go figure. I wonder if the two events possibly, maybe, might be correlative and perhaps possibly (you just never know!) be linked? Rushed misguided mass jabs and now the sudden increase in deaths?!! To the tune of almost 3000 each week of loved ones being lost…mmmm And so yea, for the love of my fellow man and for the sake of all of those mourning who lost loved ones I “get on my knees and pray…we don’t get fooled again”!! (or lied to, whichever way you prefer it!) Life can be unpredictable, and we all face challenges and setbacks at some point. However, it's not the cards we are dealt with that define us, but rather how we choose to respond to them. We have the power to take control of our lives and shape our own destinies, no matter what circumstances we may face. By focusing on our strengths, cultivating a positive mindset, and taking intentional steps towards our goals, we can overcome adversity and thrive. So the next time life throws you a curveball, remember that it's not about the cards you are dealt with but how you play your hand. #BenKench #SalesCoach #LifeCoach #BusinessCoach #Mentor #ProfessionalSpeaker #smallbusinessgrowth #smallbusinessleaders #businessgrowth #businessleaders #mindset #power #takecontrol

It’s a cold wintery type morning and it's looking like raining later and you’re sliding out from under the covers and thinking of the day ahead… Are you happy? Excited? Or weary and begrudging of the prospects?? Well, let me say even the most positive amongst us can have a day that isn’t always a sheer buzz of enjoyment…even possibly Valentine Rossi or Lewis Hamilton or Marcus Rashford or any famous celeb maybe has some days when it feels less than fabulous But The point is, aside from the celebs whom we believe and expect they must “love every day doing what they do”, then I ask the question, “if you don’t love everyday…and if you can look across and say about someone else that they get an easy life because what they do is actually fun… then my question is why aren’t you doing what you love and what you call fun??!!! I mean, is anybody frog-marching you out of the door at gunpoint and forcing you to do your gloomy day? The day ahead that you’re not looking forwards to, is that mandated and forced or do you have some choice here?? You see, my simple point is that life is short and if you or I are stupid enough to spend it every day doing something we don’t actually like then, well, we really are stupid!!! Stop with the excuses…if you have bills to pay you made those bills!! You might be having to pay for a fancy car at several hundred pounds each month…did somebody force you to buy that? You might have credit card bills because you bought wardrobe additions etc but hey were you forced into the spending? So yea stop the excuses! And stop doing what you don’t like! Life can end tonight tomorrow and anytime so what you me and all of us have to do is LIVE properly not merely exist until we die!!! Live Now! In conversation this week, I had an interesting exchange… The person to whom I was talking said “Obviously I cannot do that…what if something were to go wrong?!” It isn’t really relevant as to the ‘what’ in this conversation because what struck me and indeed strikes me many times every week is that the ‘perceived potential for going wrong’ is absolutely the over-riding ‘rule’ that chooses whether or not to act or not act. Fear of it going wrong…or fear of consequence is the strongest driver. Now stepping back a little and looking at one’s life…the myriad of choices and opportunity for absolute gain, fun, and pleasure but where every day millions choose to ‘avoid’ for ‘fear of it going wrong’! I have a message for you - Sometimes it goes right!! Sometimes you win!! However, you never win if you never play! Fear is the barrier to sooo much enjoyment and gain…and so as Franklin D Roosevelt said, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself” Fear stops us …and what exactly is FEAR… F alse E xpectation A ppearing R eal An expectation of what might happen and your brain is so stuck on it going wrong that it cannot see that it might go right! A false expectation…because in almost all circumstances there is a pretty equal mix as to it going either way. Take Love for example. We have all had heartbreak and we have all had the immense ‘in Love’ feeling…so whilst we might adopt a less reckless approach would we ever just stay indoors never speaking to or connecting with anyone because what if it goes wrong?! No! We want and need love and so we play the game and roll the dice. Jobs and career moves…house moves car swaps and even choice of holiday destinations…all could go right or wrong and so we simply have to do something. In these ‘simple’ areas, we often over-ride the fear but not always and so many miss out on so much! (check the comment section for the continuation of this article)

Bruce Hornsby’s 80’s classic “The way it is” shared thoughtful words relating to the injustice of work and racial prejudice in the USA of 60’s and 70’s. “… that’s just the way it is…but don’t you believe them” he carries on to sing… And that must serve as our reminder… Just because it appears that way now doesn’t mean it must stay that way. Do not believe the way it is if the way needs to change for fairness and good for all. The song lyric is a nudge towards behavioural change and sticks around long after the 3 minutes. … Music always conveys messages and hope and always the emotive subjects promote thought. I wish you hours of happy music enjoyment but if you’re like me then some words ring true and stick after the song has been done…and the thought left behind is a seedling that grows into an action and a habit years later. So keep listening and enjoying and thanks to Bruce Hornsby for his echoing words against injustice in society and for helping me always stand against prejudice.
