I recently had the incredible opportunity to illustrate a cover for the one and only, @brandsanderson (one of my favorite fantasy authors of all time) for his book, Isles of the Emberdark.
Here is an alternate version with the full illustration which wraps around the end flaps, cover, spine, and back cover of the book jacket.
These kinds of projects are always among my favorite to work on as I get to craft a world described by the author.

Fresh off the printing press, I teamed up with the fine folks @fiftynineparks to create a variant print of the Shenandoah National Park poster!
I always enjoy working with 59 Parks and am honored to be among their roster of artists contributing to such a fun project.
Be sure to check out their site to pick up a print!
Here's a look at the "Gemstone Caverns" card I did for the space fantasy series "Edge of Eternities" for Magic the Gathering.
This whole set was such a fun one to work on and having the opportunity to illustrate 8 cards for such a fun theme is definitely something I'm thankful for.

"Scavenger Grounds" land card for the space fantasy series "Edge of Eternities" for magic the gathering.
This one was a lot of fun to work on and the fine folks @wizards_magic created multiple card variants - including a metallic foil edition that looks pretty stunning in person.
Sometimes I don't believe the projects I've had the good fortune to work on... my 10 year old self would never have believed it.

Here's a look at the "Eldrazi Temple" card for the space fantasy expansion "Edge of Eternities" for Magic the Gathering.
Definitely a fun card to work on with the fine folks @wizards_magic

One of the most important parts of the process: thumbnail sketches. This is how I explore composition ideas without over investing in any one idea (though that still happens quite a bit).
I know I'm nearing the solution when I find myself recycling a single idea a few times in a row because something in the idea landed with me. In this case, it took a handful of attempts before I found what I was looking for.
