A supportive space for global majority individuals impacted by racial injustice, gendered violence, and/or ableism to slow down, reconnect with the body, and explore creativity through guided poetry, sound, and reflective exercises.
No writing experience needed. This workshop centres care, consent, rest, and moving at your own pace.
Please bring a yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on, loose clothing, and anything else that helps you feel at ease. Water, pens, and paper provided.

A beautiful gathering for the BASS Archive Creative Workshop Day joined by Mayor of Newham Rokhsana Fiaz.
There was a steady flow of attendees throughout the day, with many participants staying for the full seven hours! Facilitators were founder @bemanzini & local artists @mreklipse & @shads_joseph
100% of participants said they would return — and wanted more!
The workshops welcomed locals and guests focussing on writing poetry, editing, music production and more to prepare submissions to the archive with thoughtful and inspired words shared by the Mayor @rokhsana_fiaz about the importance of telling our stories and the work we do.
