@belulugreen in 📍South Boston, MA is a hidden gem! This 100% plant-based restaurant is incredible whether you’re vegan or not. They do such a good job recreating global cuisine without lacking any flavor🔥 everything we tried was so good but favorites were definitely the mezze to start (the truffle cashew cheese + muhammara were out of this world), the Korean bbq lettuce wraps & the hot honey chikn sandwich. We also loved the espresso martini with oat milk + the apple hand pie which was so nostalgic😌 if you haven’t been here yet what are you waiting for?!

Boston vegan restaurant @belulugreen is leaving Time Out Market after a dispute over serving dairy, choosing to stay true to its values.
Mary Lattouf, co-founder of the popular Boston vegan restaurant, has decided to close Lulu Green’s Time Out Market location, along with its offshoot, Cafe Lulu, following a dispute with the market’s new owner.
Cafe Lulu is the market’s only coffee provider, and according to the new ownership, it needed to cater to all customers by offering cow’s milk. Lattouf declined and chose to withdraw both businesses from the market instead.

TIME OUT MARKET LOCATION 📣
After operating for 1 year at Time Out Market, we have made the decision to move on. We thank all of our guests that made Lulu Green at Time Out a success along with our hardworking team. A little back story - back in January, Time Out Market made the decision to close the entire Boston market. The day before the closure, a new landlord purchased the market, keeping Time Out open, which was a (temporary) relief. After much consideration, we made the decision not to renew our lease because Lulu Green’s core values do not align with the goals of the new landlord. Our last official day of business at the market will be this coming Wednesday, April 15. Stop by and see us at Fenway one last time! We are looking forward to seeing you in Cambridge - official opening date to be announced VERY soon 👀, and of course at our OG location in Southie. Love you all💚
