Seeing the ACL lineup drop always brings me back to when everything changed. Miley was amazing about posting my work, and this was the cut that changed a LOT.
Fun fact, I had told the festival they couldn’t record…because we were planning on releasing our assets. Well, my VIDEO recording engineer had a “catastrophic failure” that was not known until the following Monday. Main AND Back Ups completely unusable.
So tail between my legs, I went back to the festival and said, “You didn’t happen to completely not listen to me and record the show anyways by chance?”
“Of course, Darling, here you go.”
And that’s what led to my first GLOBAL release directed by me.

It’s probably going to be the only time that I can ever Tell a story about what it’s like to be on the receiving end of a SNL digital short being about you or even people close to you. Like most of us, I’ve been a SNL fan since I was a kid….and I’ll never forget the Sunday morning …the absolute FLOOD of DMs and texts of YouTube links and constant “did you see SNL?” I honestly had no clue, none of us had ANY clue this was happening. And well there it was Andy Samberg doing a dorky David Guetta impression but also if you look at the DJs logo and vibe in that video. It’s looked quite familiar, we knew who they were taking a shot at…not just David but all of DJ/Club Culture was in the crosshairs. Personally I was a bit pissy because it was really funny. But you know who really got the joke, was Tim. Dead Serious, he had a great sense of humor about the WHOLE THING. It’s actually something I don’t think gets acknowledged enough, which was his sense of humor. Anyways the minute he saw it he knew he had to have the BASS Button. The following week was EDC Vegas and well you betch’er fucking as he had the BASS button shipped to us from SNL Studios for his show. **See picture**I’m writing this on my way to Vegas to go work for the Insomniac Broadcast team, and I just can’t help myself thinking about how ridiculous that whole story was. And also the battle SNL had to go through to get it back from us. I hope everyone enjoys these stories, I just hope I don’t forget them.
Congrats to @nodoubt and their entire creative team for a great @spherevegas opening! Knowing how much this all means to the band and the people around them makes all of this so much more special. This clip is from their comeback shows during @coachella that I directed. When watching this, they truly thought they were going back into hiatus. Little did they know what was in front of them. So happy for this camp and team!

Once upon a time in a land called fantasy….this past 2 weeks were probably the most challenging stressful and chaotic times, yet the most rewarding entertaining and FUN times I’ve ever had. Here’s a dump of photos from this project. Trust me I’d be first in line to do it all over again.
8 years ago now you left the party early. Having been sitting in the exact place where I literally first met you for the last 2 weeks at 5:30 AM at the Sahara tent (now Mojave) you had just finished an XS show and decided to stop by and see this massive head thing. That was 14 years ago. @coachella is and always will be a special place to me because of it. Fun Fact : this photo is in a Winnebago backstage at a show in Novgorod, Russia for like 70k drunk ass Russians. I’m sure I’m preaching how dominant the Russian forces were in WW2 and he was clearly interested.
