Before an early flight home from Queenstown a few weeks back, I caught up with @bells2002 and his new Kona LBF. I only had an hour before my flight and knew I wanted beech forest single track. Cannot wait to shoot Elliot on this crazy versatile bike some more.
The new daily driver for 2026!
Been a minute since I’ve been on a @konabikes process 153, spent so much time on the process X. But this current one is a beast! Can’t wait to ride it more.

The LBF wasn’t built for polite gravel. The geometry is purpose-built for drop bars, with no weird compromises and no Franken-geo. Just right. Stable when it needs to be, confident when it counts, and ready for long days, bad ideas, and sketchy descents, something Kona Ride Team rider Elliot Smith (@@bells2002 ) knows all about.

Until now, the Legend of Big Fork sat in that space between myth and possibility. Some treated it as a fun local legend that left traces of big tire prints and slashed foliage, and others swear they’d seen it in the wilderness before. The LBF has been here the whole time, dwelling in our most memorable underbiked adventures or our daydreams of overforking our gravel bike for that one strange adventure. There’s a new era of drop bar ready to emerge from the depths of the PNW. Some would say it’s already here, but for those who simply don’t believe: we see what we want to see and don’t see what we’re not prepared to see. The question is, are you ready for the power of the LBF myth to give your expedition meaning? Find out more and watch the full video at Konaworld.com

Another year with @konabikes !!
So pumped to continue to work with Kona, we’ve built up such good relationships over the years and I’m really happy with where the brand (and me) are headed!
Also got the bump Into the Kona Ride Team this year, pretty chuffed, just gotta keep putting tyres to dirt and make it happen.
