The month of May began a deeply transformative and spiritual time for me. For a while now, I have been working on strengthening the relationship between my performance and my witchcraft. Some of this has been out loud, coming home to the name Belle Witch, presenting my Spiritual Showpony workshop in March, but most of it has been quiet, personal, and untold. So much of this culminated over these past months, from beginning with a lot of awakening and healing with
@kimbustibleperformer and
@gaea_lady , and ending at
@paganunityfest with
@tartenouveaunashville , my cup just feels full in a way I haven’t felt in so long.
I have also come deeply home to my first artistic love: painting. When I first started burlesque, I fell so in love with it so quickly that I couldn’t possibly entertain anything else, and I truly thought I had given up painting. I recognize how silly that sounds now, and I am allowing myself the grace to contain multitudes and embrace being an artist in many ways, shapes, and forms.
@bellewitchburlesque is now
@bellewitch.creatrix
This remains my dedicated account to my art in every way. Burlesque, veiling, mermaiding, fire, painting, costuming. I have found myself with forms of magic that include and expand beyond burlesque alone, and I have always been a creatrix. It is time I remember that and honor it as such.
My running themes for this shift are Chthonia, the Underworld, and Creatrix, the magic I have within that needs without. Thanks for joining me in my new paradigm❤️🔥
ps. thank you to
@thecreaturechimera for this badass fire photo of me 🔥
