Joining us in Dreamland - Isabella Diaz Isabella has always had a fascination with learning, especially when it has a creative output. From crafts to baking to reading, there always seems to be an endless list of things to fill their time with. That's the beauty of the circus -- there's always someone somewhere trying something new for the first time. It's ever-expanding and ever-exploring. Over the years they have held the title of dancer, choreographer, chef, acrobat, musician, co-composer, director and teacher. Their only hope is that that list keeps growing. We are thrilled to announce that Isabella Diaz will be co-curating and presenting the upcoming Scratch Night, Destinos Edition on October 20 at 7:30 PM, alongside Alice da Cunha! Isabella Luisa Diaz is a multi-disciplinary artist from Chicago, Illinois. From a young age, they found a joy for movement and a hankering for heights. They spent their youth competing in gymnastics and studying dance, continuing on at Western Michigan University and the Joffrey Ballet School. In 2016 they joined Pilobolus Dance Theatre as a part of their main company and toured around the world for 4 years. In 2021, they began working with The 7 Fingers contemporary circus and was part of the creation for the show ‘Dear San Francisco’ and the Broadway musical ‘Water for Elephants’. They have held various roles with US-based circuses such as Shoestring Circus and Midnight Circus, including acrobat, musician, and guest director.  In 2025 they launched the circus collective Company 29, where they are co-director and composer. Isabella is a collector of hobbies, lover of books and a fiend for a good fun fact. We are so excited to welcome them to the Destinos and Physical Theater Festival's Scratch Night family this fall!
